I was having a conversation with a friend today about classic PC games and was shocked to hear he had never played any of the 'Quest' games (Space Quest, Police Quest etc).

I was just about to climb aboard my soapbox when he pointed out that I had never even touched an Ultima game, and it got me thinking:

Has there ever been a classic or genre defining game for the PC that you just never got round to playing? Mine would be all of the Ultima games as previously mentioned. I just never got round to playing them at the time and now the party is pretty much over.

Continuing the party analogy, I was incredibly late to the Half Life shindig, only picking it up about a year after the original release.

Counter-strike. I had a whole ton of friends who were CS nuts but I refused to get into it. It was kinda like reverse peer pressure. I didn't wanna play it 'cause everyone else was. Also, I suck at twitch shooting skills which is why I play heavy in TF2.

never played diablo

Half life had a small sample on 360 gonna go back and pick up the 360 version

I have never played Counterstrike either. I just never got around to get it.

Never played Counterstrike although I have it on Steam.

I've heard so much good about these games but I just hate the isometric view so much.

Really looking forward to Fallout 3 though.

I never played System Shock 2 and the first Half-Life

Bioshock, Diablo 1 or 2, Oblivion, Half Life series, Far Cry....

I really don't play games on the PC. I fear I'm missing out on quite a lot.

I never played Diablo, don't think I'll like it much, though, because I'm not into any of Blizzard's games and I'm not into RPGs. System Shock 2 cause I'm not into these scary sci fi games. Deus Ex cause I just never played it and don't really have a desire to. I missed out on plenty of classic RPG games...never played Civilization, I might try to one day.

Verdugo - its okay not to play games on the PC, but there are games on the pc you probably wont get the same experience on anything else.... vice versa could be said for me on consoles... not played much on 360 and nothing on a PS3 at all lol....

WoW. System Shock. WarCraft. StarCraft. Command and Conquer series.

Ditto on the C&C series and StarCraft, but that's 'cause I'm not really into strategy games (unless they're like the Total War series).

Also never played the Diablo games, they just looked like an endless clickfest with shopping breaks and little to no story, so they never appealed to me, as that's the main reason I play RPG's. Probably won't check out the new one, either.

And yeah, never got to play Ultima. Or any of the legendary SSI RPG's. Sad fact.

Diablo .

Never played Planescape Torment.  I remember when that game was $10 and could be found on just about any bargain bin rack, and now I'm kicking myself for not picking it up.  I've also never played FEAR, System Shock, Civilization, or WoW.

Oh boy, lets see...

System Shock series, um all the Civ games...  Command and Conquer,  Fallout for the most part, any big RTS aside from CoH since Starcraft I've straight up shafted.

Ultima, Ice Wind Dale, Baulders Gate, System Shock 1+2, Fallout 1+2, Bioshock, Warcraft 1+2. There's a few others, but they aren't coming to me at the moment...

System Shock 2, Planescape: Torment

Deus Ex, Planescape Torment, and the Fallout games for me.  I have both of the Fallout games and DE also, just have never got around to actually playing them.

I haven't played Baldur's Gate, Fallout, or any of the other old-school isometric RPG's. I also have yet to buy CoD4, I've been waiting for the price to drop cause I don't want to spend $50 on a game with an expansion pack campaign.

Warceaft 3.  Ther other 2 were also good... but I had the most fun at 3
