I am installing around 10 games right now and they are going slow, is this because I am downloading multiple ones?

It's not like you are going to be playing them all at once anyhow, may as well just download the one you are the most interested in first. Though I do believe Steam stops the downloads of any other games when you are in a game. Personally I tend to just download things as I sleep, got enough other stuff to keep me occupied.

It splits your bandwitch up ofcourse. So in theory. It would take the same time in the end, however youll wait longer for every game.

Just like downloading multiple things anywhere, yes it does. Its best for you to focus on one if its going that slow, pause all of them except whatever you want done first, and start that one back up..or try 2 at a time instead of 4.
