I love Steam. It's my preferred platform and I absolutely love what they do. In fact before this thread I haven't really explored much of what's going on beyond Steam because they're a service that I feel does it best both in price and presentation. However as this hot and heavy month for Steam sales ramps up, so it seems is the competition. As a result this will be a collection of all deals I can scrape together that are not on Steam (because there are already plenty of those). Now it must be said that HaroldoNVU's guide is relevant regardless of digital distributor. Also if you want a list of the Steam sales for each day then I recommended this thread.

Before I go any further, my main resource for finding everything here are the fine folks over at Cheap Ass Gamer which has been a tragically recent discovery given my proclivity for cheap game buying all these years. Anyway I'm just doing the brunt work here and posting what I feel are the relevant websites with relevant deals. So feel free to visit the websites and explore for yourselves because these are not all the deals, just the ones I think people here will care bout.

Oh I don't read the posts. Basically it's distributed human scraping of deals. They more or less do all the work for me, I see the thread titles, read the first post, and go from there.

I assumed that it wouldn't work using dollars with pounds sterling so I also assumed you would purchase those blue points and use those to buy the game. Unless the website does that automatically :P. Either way I owned it so I didn't explore.

Amazon has a 2 for one deal right now. Among featured was demon souls and Bayonetta, along with some butt ugly controllers and such for a good price I guess. Vanquish , not featured, is going for around 19.50 there, and I am tempted. Thats a young mans game (intense and unrelenting) but maybe in small bites...

Alright, I've removed the Civ 5 deal as it is no longer available. Also, shameless bump (sorry but this was two nights of work I'm not about to let go into oblivion).

Bumping this again, this time with Civ 5 on sale on Direct2drive. 20 Dollars or 10.75 pounds.

Shame a lot of people seem to have missed that $10 Civ 5 sale on Gamersgate. By far the best deal during these sales.

Earth 2150 Trilogy is $2.39 on GOG. 
 
It's a great RTS, tottaly worth it.
