Ernest Gary Gygax (July 27, 1938 – March 4, 2008) was best known for creating Dungeons and Dragons, one of the first pen-and-paper roleplaying games. He was considered as the "father of role-playing games". Wrote the module "The Temple of Elemental Evil", which provided the inspiration for the 2003 PC game of the same name.
