I hate to do this and I'm really sorry, but TheFakePsychic, Keystone_Yinzer, Bloo561 and Commisar123 won't be a part of the GB team. If someone from the main team doesn't make it, I'll be sure to contact one of you to replace them.

That's really nice of you; I'll add it to the OP. I'm a bit iffy on this prize, though, since this is a team effort and it could be weird if the pointman for our team eliminates half of the opposing team or something crazy, but it could still motivate people.

How does the GB team stand any chance of winning? Those other guys have all the FAQs!

@FluxWaveZ: I don't have any strong opinions where most people should be placed, but if we should be at all concerned about losing, I would put you or Jon at the front(first or second, MAYBE 3rd) and the other at the end. Possibly strategically placed MDYu and Soki around the two of you as well.

Anyway, I gotta practice up! If you know of any good resources(other than dustloop) for learning shit I would love to know about them. I looked into some combo videos, but they were largely useless. I went into training, turned bot recovery options on, and found that most of the good combos were impossible to pull off. Right now in general I'm just working on trying to punish people who jump a lot and not being so terrified of hyper-aggressive Chies. Trying to figure out some openers for the Sukukaja Auto combo too, to squeeze a bit more damage out of it. Launching them with 2C and running over to catch them seems pretty good, but is a little weird. I also want to learn to use moonsaults practically without the spring dash lead-in, but that's low on my priority list.

I'm also willing to spar with anyone if I'm around. Even if I were to go 0-100 with Flux's Shabrys maybe I'd learn something.

Edit - About the prize: We could always decide as a team who should get it. I mean, if someone practically all-kills I don't think anyone would argue that they deserve it.

@YI_Orange: Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Either me or aznjon as one of the first members with the other being one of the last as a safeguard. Same thing with MDYu and Soki.

And yeah, deciding on our team's MVP could be a way of deciding who the prize goes to; that sounds good.

Helpful resources for Yosuke:

• Dustloop wiki page (also important to check the more general pages as character specific info isn't all that's good to know)
• Pretty much everything on this page (especially the matchups page and the video thread)
• Mayonaka Midnight Yosuke info for some stuff you can't find on Dustloop

That's pretty much all you need. I'd recommend getting as far as you can in Yosuke's challenge mode as, even if you're not going to use the weird combos that can be present in that mode, it will help your execution with that character considerably and understand the properties of his attacks more. Spending time messing around in training mode and recording a character doing stuff you have trouble with (such as blocking against Mitsuru, which was something I had trouble with) can also help.

I'll say, strategically keep Soki and MDYu apart, same with Serv, Xom and Sparks, so that we can kind of prevent running into a bad anti-Yu or anti-Chie matchup. (Does John play Chie too?)

Also, I'd say stagger between the high talent and low talent, as a way of getting some extra looks at whoever we're fighting. Lead off with a sacrifice to see what they're bringing. Then bring the heat at 2, 4, so on. Maybe even catch them getting complacent if they just creamed me, and then they get a tough one against grav or jon or whathaveyou.

Probably shouldn't post that public but whatever.

Is there a certain character that the folks at GFAQ use that we should be worried about?

Yup, I have to learn the Kanji match up, and that Mitsuru player eliminated me from tourney # 3 but I'm sure we could beat him. I'll get some practice on the weekend or spar with anyone :)

I think "Team Giant Bomb" will be just fine for this.

I'm not too worried about that Mitsuru player as I've gotten better at dealing with Mitsurus and, after all, I did beat him last time. However, playing a bit of P4A today I felt as though I somehow got worse at playing and that worried me. It might be because I didn't sleep at all last night, so I'll try again tomorrow.

@FluxWaveZ: It happens. I'm nowhere near as good as you but there are days where I feel that all my skill is just gone.

Also, if they have any Teddies I need some serious help with that matchup. Brode kicked my ass so hard last night and Yosuke vs. Teddie has me a bit lost.

@MDYu: I'd like to get some practice in with you if we're around at the same time. I could use some Yu practice, plus, I felt good about my last showing against you, so I wanna see if it was just dumb luck.

Good Job on the tourney everyone who competed. On the bright side the tournament really inspired me to come back and level up more. I definitely want to try and compete if there is an eventual runback.

Actually, I think it's the opposite. Everyone that went up against Nard was doing better than everyone that went up against Flux. They just have those last two anchors that destroyed us for the most part.
