The Black Guardian is summoned by Pious Augustus to guard against the theft of the artifact of the Ancient his master is weak against. Its form depends on the alignment path chosen at the game's start.
Chattur'gha is one of the Ancients in Eternal Darkness. He/it is associated with physical powers and the color Red.
Pious Augustus is a Roman Centurion who got tricked into allowing one of the essences of the gods trapped in the circle of power to enter and take over his body. From that moment on he become the servant to that god. A dead and rotted husk of a man.
Ulyaoth is one of the Ancients in Eternal Darkness. He/It is associated with magick and the color blue.
Xel'lotath is one of the Ancients in Eternal Darkness. She/it is associated with illusions and the color green.
