MGS4 is not the greatest game ever its just a great game, and i have beat it 4  times; some of those cut scenes when on for so long it just got boring or i really did not care.

Is this aside of multiplats, because I'd kick off LittleBigPlanet and put on GTAIV.

I hope more people pick up Valkyrie Chronicles. The demo's awesome, but I gotta thin out the backlog a bit before I can add more.
A truly impressive and not to mention original PS3 exclusive much to my delight.

Yeah, Dead Space totally crept up on me. It was so fun that I immediately restarted it after I finished it. I haven't done that since Resident Evil 4.

I kind of liked the Resistance 2 Storie line and the Ending... WOW!!!.... I did not think they had the balls to do that, but still WOW.

Can't wait for 3.
Plus having awesome Multi is always great.

The PS3 completely wins this year, the 360 fell pretty flat on it's face imo. Barely anything to play this year, it's been gathering a good deal of dust :/

And I'm sorry, I'm one of the few that hated MGS4.  If I wanted to watch a movie, I'd pop in a Blu-Ray.  Only reason I'm holding onto it is because I'm hoping for a trophy patch to make myself trudge through that game.

I fail to understand how MGS4 cannot appeal to a person, I truely do. What part of amazing graphics, epic battles, and the best voice acting, script writing, and directing in a video game does not appeal to a person? Sure the online sucks but you can't win everything.

Once more people being completely ignorant, of course about MGS4 none the less. I honestly thought it was bad hearing the Halo fanboys get up in arms when someone says something, but this is a site to behold. There are plenty of ways it can't appeal to anyone other than just the backstory, as can ANY game that fucking exists, ever. Everyone has their own opinion, random people that loved <insert game here>, no matter what game it may be, do not speak for everyone else that plays it. People need to get the fuck off of their high horse with games that they love, I love plenty of games that I think should be must haves based on the amount of fun I've had with them, but I can accept that no single game is for everybody, and I don't try to ram it down their throat either.

MGS4 was mediocre to me, and nothing more. Even less looked at games like Dead Space I found more entertaining.

Agreed, those are 3 games PS3 owners everywhere should be enjoying.

MGS 4, LBP, and GTA 4 (unless you've played it on another platform, in which case, add Resistance 2)

If we're only talking about releases from this year I'd have to go:

1. MGS4
1. Bioshock
2. GTA4
3. Little Big Planet

Going with PS3 only titles, I'd say:

Resistance 2, just by playing the beta, and the first game.
Little Big Planet, of course.

MSG4 is #1 for sure.  If you didn't play it, I'm sorry you missed out on the best console experience.

The Chupster decrees Metal Gear Solid 4 to be complete horseshit.  As according to the Great and Wonderful Rules of All Great and Wonderful Games: And lo, a game shall not be called 'epic,' nor 'great,' nor 'essential' or 'a masterpiece' nor even 'good' if it be not possessing of great Fun and a Control Scheme That Doesn't Suck The Ass Out of a Donkey, and yea verily, Metal Gear Solid 4 fails these qualifications in every way.

Not Excellent Cinematics, nor Graphics of Extreme Wickedness, nor a Soundtrack For Which Is To Be Worth Dying For, nor a Popular Character make a truly Great and Wonderful Game, and Metal Gear Solid 4 is relegated to the Realm of Excessive Crapdom, where its carcass shall feed the Fanboys Who Know No Shame, forever and ever, amen.

The Great and Mighty Chupacabra has spent a great several hours with the demo, and has deemed it a lost cause, and thus this thread fails utterly.

But Resistance 2 and Valkyria kick much ass indeed.

Was anyone else disappointed with Resistance 2?
The first Resistance was incredible and although i've only played 2 hours of R2, it just doesn't feel right. I cant put my finger on it, but something about that game is off.
Maybe its the "tunnel vision" or the weapons taking up too large a chunk of the screen, but i feel let down. I'm going to try and get through the campaign because i know R1 was a little slow to start, and am hoping R2 picks up and becomes as epic as I thought it would be.
Anyone else have similar feelings?

I played the R2 beta, and thought it was fucking halo rip-off crap.
