Here's a list of small-average developpers I think Sony should buy:

1. Atlus
2. Nippon Ichi
3. Level 5
4. tri-Ace

Yes, they pretty much only do RPGs, but Sony doesn't have first-party studios that specialises in RPGs. By buying these developpers, they'll then do have first-party RPG studios. Not only that, but the games produced by these studios are often times for the hardcore market, which harbors gamers who are willing to buy a console for one of them games (Disgaea or MegaTen for example). What do you think? Would it be a sound investment? Having a Disgaea title or a new Shin Megami Tensei released on the day the PS4 launches would greatly help the sales of the system, don't you think?

Level 5 is like my favorite developer....I do agree that if something like Disgaea released as a launch title that it would sell consoles for the group of people really into that game.

Exactly. Most of the gamers who play hardcore RPG games like Disgaea and MegaTen would buy a console just to play their favorite RPG franchise. And like I said, Sony doesn't have a strong first-party studio that makes RPGs (I think they don't even have one).

This statement can be made for Microsoft as well. If any console maker could start grabbing up third-party developers it would greatly benefit them. Out of the developers you mentioned Atlus is a big deal to me, but I can't see them being bought out by Sony or anyone.

Yea, they need Level 5, one of my fav devs. If WKC turns out good I don't see why Sony shouldn't buy them...

If you guys are talking about the Shin Megami Tensei franchise...then I must say that they are fantastic games! Persona 3 was a terrific game.

It's coming out on the PS2 (and I own a PS3) ...I just wish they made it for a next-gen system so that it would be graphically more impressive."

It's not that I don't like the style (Disgaea also a great game so far) ...just picturing that style in HD would be awesome. Plus the extra power could allow for more options to the actual game as well."

Level-5 is one of my favorite developers but I don't know how I'd feel if they were just a Sony developer.  Jeanne d'arc and rogue galaxy are fantastic (the only  sony level 5 games I've played) but I love me some Professor Layton and am very intrigued by Inazuma Eleven.

While I can't wait for White Knight Chronicles, I'd like for them to keep doing innovative stuff on the DS or even tackle a Wii game.  Any one with me?  A Jeanne d'arc style strategy game on Wii like fire emblem would be amazing!
