So I love trophies as much as the next PS3 owner, but I don't have the patience to stick with a game long enough to get the platinum.  I'm currently a level 12 with zero platinums.  Anybody else love trophies but don't want to put all the effort of finding every last collectible in a game to get the platinum?

Well, I would like to get at least one platinum trophy, and I'm pretty darn close to that with Bad Company 2 (Damn you "Et Tu, Brute!").

I have 3, and would like to get more... but yeah its tough to both find the time and the patience to play a single game that much. Especially as I have gotten older there is very little time to devote to gaming.

I've got 2, though I could have around 8 by now if I could be bothered. I'm like 1-2 trophies away from so many platinums it's ridiculous. 

I have a guy on my friends list that just got his 34th plat.  I have 4 of them, but as soon as going for a trophy stops being fun I stop going for it.  I also hate online specific trophies... not cool.

The platinum is the best part!  There's a certain satisfaction in knowing that you conquered the shit out of a game, even if it meant being dumped by your girlfriend and neglecting all obligations, social or professional.  You can work on those things after you platinum a game!

only platinum I've gotten was Uncharted 2, but that's because you get the Marco Polo costume for multiplayer.  Otherwise i have no motivation of gaining platinum in other games that don't give me incentive.

I have never gotten a platinum. I don't really care about them or have the time/patience to seek them out.  I do like trophies however. I just don't understand people that go crazy for them. I'm a relatively new PS3 owner, so maybe I just haven't played enough games.

I have 0.
Most of the platinum trophies amount to  "collect and do everything in the game and playthrough at least twice" 
There aren't many games I really want to dedicate that much time to.

I don't have any platinums, nor do I plan to get any. Why? Because even if I did care about trophies (which I don't), I simply don't have the time to go after them. My employer expects me to deliver reviews on a fortnightly basis, so that leaves with no free time to spend trying to get trophies and such.

don't really care about trophies...or achievements. I just don't like going out of my way for a achievement/trophies that doesn't do shit but say "Hey look at all this time I wasted replaying this crap game 3 times for an easy platinum/1000k"

 I will work towards a platinum if it does not seem like I am far from getting it anyways. My platinums have been in Fallout 3, NCAA Football 10, Borderlands, and Ratchet and Clank. I have a couple games that are on the verge of being platinums but I really do not want to go back to finish them because they are the trophies that are focused on collecting so many items. I need the 100 feathers in AC2 and in Darksiders I need the wrath cores and health. In some games I really just do not want to play again. The best example of that is Heavy Rain, I had my story and do not want to go back through and change it.

I don't really care for platinums. I only have 1 from Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection in my 1150+ trophy set. I just don't have the desire to play a game until I collect every trophy needed for a Platinum, I need variety. They have no value but they're nice to have as a way of making you feel good for "achieving" a goal.

I rarely go for a platinum. I tried in inFAMOUS, I'm pretty close. Maybe I'll go back to it...

last month I got more trophies that the last 4 months combined 
I got 173 in the month of April I gotta stop playing long ass RPGs with no trophies.

Aiming for everything but platinums is dumb.  That's exactly like bragging about not having 1000 achievement points in anything.

I try to get the non multiplayer trophies that I can in one playthrough.  Since most Platinums require multiple playthroughs I don't bother with 'em.

i only have 3 platinums and they are all for the 3 god of war games

 I'm going for my first platinum now with Uncharted 2.  Crushing is making me rage hard.  I think I'll try to plat Dead Space and inFamous next, maybe even Trine haha.
