I think Knack was their stab at this kind of game. They also did Sly Cooper and that new Ratchet and Clank and absolutely sent them out to die so don't think you'll be seeing much platformer game wise from Sony.

I just got back from work. I'm glad I didn't spend my time watching this live, doesn't seem like much of interest was revealed. That MGS1 Déjà vu mission is only interesting if they've got David Hayter back as the voice of Snake.

So I had to go out of my way to find out what Towerfall was, and it looks okay, might be WONDERFUL if was 2 bucks on a Steam sale.

@mrcraggle: Amy hennig i believe is the writer on the uncharted series, and as far as i know is part of the naughty dog A team, and she tweeted out the news about uncharted. so maybe its just a small group from the A team working on the last of us dlc? i wouldnt think you need your full development team for DLC.

@mrfluke: I've no idea. Let's just say fuck it and hope it's good and that they can push the series forward like 2 did. 3 was a great game but also felt very safe by simply doing a lot of what 2 did but just doing it multiple times.

@mrcraggle: my big problem was in 3, the story wasnt as strong, the villain from 2 was better , the set pieces and shooting dudes was top notch still, but the main story was lacking compared to 2.

Edit: Well...shit.... I guess I just spent $439? Yay for PS+ and free games like Warframe cause I don't think I have any more money for actual uh...games.

@mrfluke: I'm curious if they'll add any more stealth elements to the game after TLoU. 3 had some sections you could stealth but it was a pretty shitty system. I remember one part where you're in a castle that if you killed all of the guards, you could carry on but if just one person saw you, several more would come in and now instead of 10 guards, you have to now kill 20 guards and several of them now have armour and special weapons. Gosh, I hate that in games. One guard seeing you which some how alerts everyone else needs to not be a thing in this new generation.

I really did enjoy the opening to the game as well as seeing young Drake if only for the novelty but much of the game just wasn't as special. As good as the intro to 3 was, 2 let's you know shits gone bad from the get go with you hanging out of a train which you then have to navigate out of. I could potentially see this being the last in the Uncharted series though. I think Sony just want this so they can have a really stunning looking game which we all know it will be. I only played 3 earlier on this year thanks to PS+ and I thought it still looked great.

So I'm assuming that the deja vu mission for mgsv will just reuse audio from MGS1 considering how utterly fucked their relationship with Hayter is now?
