Play Populous for Game Boy, the way it was always meant to be played
A trip to my local vintage games store turned up a surprise today. Populous for Game Boy. Released in 1992 this monochrome marvel crams all three game modes into the tiny portable console. The result is a very slow but oddly compelling version of the game. Command you people and dominate the map using a combination of A & B with directional motions on the D-pad. Raise land by holding A and pushing up, lower by pushing down. You get the idea. It's a peculiar way to play the game but I do give the developers credit for making it feel oddly at home. I suppose I have to give it a low score because in 2022 it's not at all the way that one _should_ play Populous, there are many versions and all are trivially emulated, but at the same time the barrier to entry is so low that I feel like you should at least try just so you can say that you have :)
