The Stereotypical Gamer
With nothing much to write about lately, I decided to throw together a quick list, of my most anticipated games. Feel free to discuss any of these with me in pm's wall, whatever. Thats the purpose of this. I'm only going to do 5 games, why? Because these things get boring. So lets keep it short.

Yes! I couldn't really explain how much younger they look. They really do look extremely young in motion. They did face scans on them, and only one of then is 16. And shes exactly 16.
About Me
Hey my name is Stephen. Most of my gaming time is spent on the xbox 360, though I do also own a wii, ds, and n64. My favorite types of games would probably be shooters, sports, and platformers.
I'm a huge sports fan favorite teams being the colts, pacers, and most of all the redsox. I used to buy a lot of sports games, but now I've kind of strayed away from paying 60 bucks for the same thing every year.
I try to put out quality blogs. Some editorials, some stuff about my thoughts on the site, some rants, some videos, and sometimes just some updates on what I'm doing. Feedback good and bad is welcome. I want to see what you guys actually like to read of mine, and what you don't like to read.

4. Fallout 3- This game looks time consuming, and may take up valuable hours of my life. But that's what games are for right?

2. Halo wars- Been waiting for an rts I'm actually interested in. Here it is.
1. Gears of War 2- Words cant describe how pumped I am for this.
Why the title? Well this list seems really bland, without many suprises. These are all really popular games. But whatever. You don't have to play different, unique, weird games to have fun. And that's what were here to do right? Have fun.

Smog
From underage gymnast to not being pretty enough to sing, this Beijing Olympics has not gone without controversy. It started way back with the whole olympic touch ordeal, with the protesters trying to put it out. Then there was the smog, which is still a problem. Now some new things have came up, all very serious in their own way.

For all of you who watched the opening ceremony, you probably remember the cute little chinese girl singing "Ode the Motherland." She was seven years old, and very impressive. We later found out that this cute little girl didn't have the voice we thought she had. She was actually lip syncing because she was better looking then the girl singing. When asked about the controversy chief music director, Chen Qigang, said that "the audience will understand that it's in the nation interest."
To me this is absolutely appalling. China is trying to look so good, be so perfect. They are trying to show that they are socially exceptive, of everyone. Then they do this. It reminds me of how when the Weather Girls sang "Its raining Men" they were forced to have super models lip synch in their first video. Why you ask? Because they were slightly overweight.
Underage Gymnastics
For all of you not familiar with the rules of the olympic games, you have to be 16 years old to compete. You may also turn 16 during the olympic year, and still be able to compete. So it is possible for 15 year olds to be in the games. The problem came up when a Chinese newspaper reported that girls on their gold favored gymnastics team were under 16 years of age. People may ask "Why does being underage give you an advantage?" Well girls hit their peak performance at different times. Girls at the age of 12 could be better then the 16 year old on the us team. So it defiantly matters. China is putting their best 6 girls on the team, no matter what. Which is cheating. Is China cheating at their own olympics? You tell me.

Now if you watched the games at all, you will see that this picture even makes the girls look a little older. The one on the far left is 4'6 68 pounds. The one of the far right is the team captain, who is said to be 20 years old. I really hope they do some sort of bone scan to end this, because the gold will hang in controversy forever. In this picture of the Spanish olympic basketball team, they are apparently "slanting" their eyes. It is very big stereotype of the Chinese people, and is absolutely unacceptable in this day in age. I guess this was for some sort of add for a magazine. They counter it by saying they are winking, happy they are about to go be in the Olympics. I thinking I may have just loled at that. Winking. Seriously?
Ok so I know many people on this site don't really watch the olympics. I didn't want to babble on about each one, but look for some updates on some of those, especially the age thing. A girl who goes to my high school was on the team who won silver (USA) so I am very bitter about it.

As I ordered Oblivion from
prizerebel yesterday I thought back to myself, "since when do I like RPG's?" I remember playing some Dark Alliance, Baulders Gate but thats about as much role playing as I did. Then I remembered a little game called
Stick RPG . You play as a stick figure, and you have two main stats, strength and charm. You can build up those stats by doing incredibly simple task.
It truly is probably the most simple RPG in the world, but I found myself playing hours of it a few years ago. It is just as addictive as any other RPG and I really think I liked it so much because I was young, and I got it. There was no complicating text, or missions to do. You simply got money, by clicking a "work" button. And got stregth, by pressing a "go to the gym button" I could go on explaining the game, but just realize that it was extremely simple.
The only thing that worries me about oblivion is the time aspect. I'm not a guy that can usually play a game for 70 hours. Their needs to be something that can keep me going. And I hope oblivion, has that something. I've heard great things about the game, and can only hope to like it as much as some of you.
Other stuff, you most likely didn't notice, but I changed myself from Microsoft aligned, to neutral. When I was on the forums, I didn't want to come as a fanboy, and thats the reason I did it.
Looks like alotta fun
I absolutely agree with Jeff about geometry wars. He said that the game loses its addiction level, when you go back to play it, and you can't even beat your own scores. I mind myself really trying to beat the scores that I posted the first night, but just can't seem to do it. I was so concentrated that first night, and I did fairly well. (for me) Now when I get bored of COD4 I try to go back and play it, but just plain can't because there is nothing more frustrating, then getting worse at a game, not getting better.
Which is the reason I bought Braid. Ill post thoughts on that when I beat it. O and just putting it out there. Im looking for 3 other people to play Castle Crashers with me when it comes out. Anyone want to play?
