i actually played ff7 on the pc, ha
emulators are fine too, but i was curious if there is anything new out there?
 
there's plenty of stuff out for ps3/360, but i haven't seen anything that looks like it's worth picking up for the pc lately

i'm going to be doing a lot of traveling, and something i can run on my laptop while sitting on a plane for 14 hours at a time would be ideal
 
i've always been a fan of the final fantasy series, and the persona 4 endurance run got me really interested in that series.  something where i run around, grind levels, cast spells and just generally waste a lot of time would be ideal (all without an internet connection)
 
any suggestions?  looking for something specifically for PC

my guess is that these are probably useful at the start and that's about it , not great but better than nothing
but this is exactly why i'm looking for what other pre-orders are out there, but i'm not finding anything
 
@ eezo, yea this is for xbox 360, not sure about the pc...

ok, so I am getting Borderlands, that isn't a question
 
however, since I am definitely buying it, I may as well get some bonuses if they're out there
I see that gamestop has a bonus gun pack that you get for pre-order but I don't see any bonuses from amazon
 
any other place have a better pre-order offer?

i'm early on in disc 3, long game, but definitely worthwhile.  while the dream sequences are interesting, i ended up skipping them along the way and reading them later, just too much to handle when you're trying to progress the main story line sometimes, but that might just be me 
 
it's very good, and probably the best rpg for 360 out there 
  

though i do agree with someone's earlier comment about installing to avoid disc cannot be read errors, that killed me
