As of today's update, "Matchmaking now considers geographical distance when finding players for your team."

Thoughts?

I've been getting back into wrestling after going to see an awesome indie show in my area this summer. I haven't watched since the late '90s but on a lark I signed up for the Network too.

Any suggestions for PPVs to watch first? Not necessarily looking for a "best of" list, but I would like to get a sense of the shifts in WWE's style and roster from the first Mania or so onward. I imagine I'll get to the super important/well regarded shows (Survivor Series '97, WM17) at one point or another but any other suggestions are welcome too. Thanks!

  • Bombcast/Beastcast, of course.
  • Two by Mike Duncan: The History of Rome (finished) and Revolutions (ongoing). Really accessible history for buffs and interested laymen alike, favorites of mine.
  • Last Podcast on the Left. Hilarious and well-researched cast on anything to do with the macabre: the occult, true crime, the paranormal, etc. If you've ever listened to Coast to Coast you should give it a shot.
  • Lore by Aaron Mahnke. Folklore podcast that deals with a lot of topics similar to those on LPotL but in a more serious narrative form. Good for a relaxing listen.
  • Abe Lincoln's Top Hat, an American politics podcast done by two of the guys from LPotL. I'm pretty politically fatigued this election cycle but Top Hat is balanced and humorous enough to keep me interested week-to-week.

Turbo Killer by Carpenter Brut. I tend to think of synthwave as the musical equivalent of sugary junk food but I love it anyway.

I'm new to Dota as well. Like takayamasama I have some casual experience with HotS, but I've only played fewer than a hundred games of Dota against flesh-and-blood people.

Grouping up with GB players to learn the ropes would be pretty rad! Add me on Steam (acrippledgrip) if you're interested, I play mostly on US East on the weekends.

Hey duders, I've been really interested in this game after switching from Heroes of the Storm a few months ago and have been playing it off-and-on since then. Not enough to really improve beyond the very basics, though- I have about 80 hours of play to my name and nearly all of that has been with straightforward supports like Lich and Lion.

I really want to learn the game and would enjoy playing with you guys, any role is fine with me. My Steam name is acrippledgrip and I'm usually available on the weekend (US Central time), so feel free to add me if you like. Thanks!
