Created a short level where you have to guide a Spiny to the end to succeed! Been checking out other levels from this thread and excited by the creativity!!
After hearing Brad chat about the nebulous writing of 'The Witness' I remembered that I wanted to finally finish up 'The Talos Principle'. Over the last week I've done 25 hours on my way to the ending and I cannot recommend it enough. I've never really thought too hard about philosophy, religion or the nature of humanity but this game manages to put these big questions across in a fantastic way unique to games.
There's just such a beautiful narrative woven into the game's systems. The character of Alex who's voice memos are lying around the world is so well realized and by the end of the game you really understand what her aims were and what she cares about. I don't want to talk too specifically about stuff because I genuinely would recommend this game to anyone who has a slight interest in puzzle games (or philosophy).
I would love to give this game more exposure because it feels like it slipped under the radar for a lot of people due to it's weird release date. I hope you guys give it a shot, it's probably not for everyone considering the wordiness and cerebral nature of the story but it has so much to offer if you're up for it.
I never realized you could run in Mario up until a few years ago. I always tried picking up Super Mario World and trying to get into it but coming away from it feeling disappointed. I'm an idiot.
In my defense, I totally think that the run button in a Mario game would be better suited for one of the triggers instead of having to use your thumb awkwardly to hold both buttons down.
It's crazy, he mentioned in a video years ago that he'd basically stole his 'WTF is...' series from Giant Bomb, taking the format of a quick look. He's said before of how much he admires Jeff and his integrity. He's basically the reason I'm on this website at all so I wish him and his family all the best as it's through his recommendation I've spent hours and hours having fun on Giant Bomb. Hope he's coping with such awful news.
I'm almost always chipping away at another playthrough of Cave Story because that game is superb and it makes me happy. I've got Cave Story+ so I switch the artwork/music quality between retro and updated every time. It's the first game I've ever played that once I'd completed it I immediately started up a new save and began blasting through it again.
I'll throw in Chrono Trigger like a lot of other people but I only play it every now and again because there's always something else taking up my slot on the DS. What a perfect game that is.
I wish you well man, you deserve to end up somewhere great after all you've brought to the site. I'll always be interested in whatever you end up doing so keep yourself busy! Although have a good few weeks of rest (Demon's Souls) before starting up anywhere else as you've earned yourself a holiday. Thanks for the good times!
Is there any chance of an official release of this OST? I would pay upwards of Twenty Australian Dollars for such a thing.
I don't know for certain but I'd have to guess it's a rights issue. It's weird though, I'm a musician and it would frustrate me if the only way people could listen to my music was off of rips that weren't exactly the way I made them.
I think that people haven't found a way to rip mp3's straight from the Wii U source files, unlike the 3DS. That's why you get full high quality 3DS soundtracks on Youtube. A real shame though, I'd throw money at David Wise.
