Well that really sucks. I guess I just didn't experience any of those issues. Certainly not the micro-stuttering.
As for the screens, not exactly sure what you're trying to show. The texture was fucked up originally and they cleaned it up in the DC? I guess I'm missing something.
Edit: Looked at some comparison videos and more screens. It's been a little while since I played the DC so I'll have to check it out. Never noticed any texture issues when I was playing, and the toned down yellow filter was only apparent when I watched clips side by side.
This is definetely making me want to go back to HR, maybe buy it on the Wii U this time. Wasn't the bosses revamped heavily in that version? Because I enjoyed the game well enough, but I never managed to complete it even with multiple tries over the years because FUCK THOSE BOSS ENCOUNTERS
That is a great version of the game. The directors cut version on PC is garbage, but the Wii U version should be alright.
I had no issues with the PC version of the Director's Cut. Why did you find it to be "garbage"?
To everyone saying they haven't played it because of the boss battles, or that was what made them quit, you should give the Director's Cut a chance. Fixes the boss battles big time.
Here's a video of the reworked fights showing options for players who want to take a stealthy/hacking approach.
I picked up Battlefield Hardline last week to play with friends, but so far I've been regretting it. The game is just not fun, most likely because I'm four or five games behind everyone else in experience. The learning curve is very steep. Plus, the TDM spawns are horrendously broken. So, as it stands, my vote is Hotline Miami 2, but that should change once I get more games under my belt.
I would say they key to enjoying Hardline, or any Battlefield game, is to stop playing TDM and focus on the other game modes. Hotwire, Heist and Blood Money are a fucking blast, and in Hotwire especially, being under leveled isn't going to disadvantage you because you can use a grenade launcher right off the hop
Middle of the road for me. I still think 5 is the best, and 1 and 6 are better than 7. I felt like they lead with their best action sequences. Rock vs. Statham was better than Vin vs. Statham. The car drop sequence was better than the finale. I did love how they introduced Deckard Shaw though; that stroll through the hospital was badass.
Also, they underutilized a lot of solid talent. The Rock was missing for most of the film, Djimon Hounsou's role was to look scary and then scream at people in a helicopter, and Lucas Black's appearance was comically short. Also, more Kurt Russell please. Don't get me wrong, it's some fun stupid action, but they've done it better in this series already.
My only hope now is that the final movie of the franchise is all of the surviving villains joining together to take out the crew. The Shaws, Braga, DK and his uncle, Carter Verone, heck, even bring in the cousin with the snake skin pants from F&F1. Just go nuts with it.
I would love to see Carter Verone return just so Roman and him can have a showdown. At some point he would need to pull out a gun/knife and say "Pockets ain't empty."
Gonna be alone on this one. Battlefield Hardline. Maybe I just need to play some more stuff that's come out this year, but I'm really digging some of the new modes. A lot of people are just saying it's more of the same, but between Hotwire, Heist, Crosshair, Rescue and Blood Money it feels like a real change up to me. Probably helps that I don't give a fuck about the single player.
