but with regard to the launch of Nintendo 3DS and Wii U not necessarily having progressed well

The WiiU I understand, but I'm under the impression that the 3DS is quite successful. Is Iwata just referring to the rough start that the 3DS had?

Since it saids launch yea they refer to the start. Nowdays more people got a 3DS then a "next gen" console.

Have had zero problems with the game on PC. I wonder what the issues stem from.

Curious, do you got an SSD? That seems to be the most common thing for people who have less issues. It still uses way too much power for what it looks like tough.

Just curious, but did they ever promise uncapped or higher framerate? Most of the complaints seem to be centered around how it being inexplicably locked at 30 is totally unacceptable, but I don't really see why that's an issue beyond the entitlement of people who have spent thousands of pounds on a monster PC.

Like, if they promised 60 and delivered 30, sure, that's annoying. But if it was never mentioned and the argument is that it 'just shouldn't' be at 30 then that's kind of stupid.

60fps has been standard for PC for decades. Since when is it suddenly a bonus extra? Also people report single digits or straight up freezes at certain points.

Nah, it seems that part is broken.
Same for the chat which worked 100% fine during the mario thing.

3 different Game of the Years so far. Makes me super excited to hear the deliberations in a couple days.

I think its pretty obvious that shadows of Morder will win. So far its been number 1 or close to and we didn't even had Brad who was basically drooling over the game. Not to mention it already won a couple GOTY rewards.

Anyway, Bayonetta 2 is a huge surprise for me since i never got the indication he was even interested in it. Maybe the crew convinced him to try and he liked it.

Was this a thing? I don't use Twitch that much but I don't recall seeing much in the way of exhibitionists.

It was, at least in World of Warcraft. Every time i searched for a stream cause i was bored for a bit at least half was a stream with a cam feed and there not that well dressed girl. Put me off with even searching for it tbh. If i wanted porn i searched for that...

I seriously don't get the origin hate. If i is using 90% of your memory to download a game how much memory you got? 2 gig? It is no more intrusive than steam is and while the UI is a little worse.... who really cares? Or are you telling me you look at a third party out of game UI tons of the time when playing video games?

Time to stop beating a dead horse, it was pretty over the top to start with, years down the road after Origin has more than worked out it's worst kinks it is just plain silly.

I'll always stick to Steam, just because their library is so much bigger and whatnot, but...

...and don't tell anyone I said this...

Origin is leagues ahead of Steam in design and usability in every way, from their front-end to their customer service. Across the board, it's a better, less-bloated, program.

I have to disagree so much on the usability front. I got around 7-10 games on Origin. Not 1 game that i played didn't require me do those stuff like messing with the gamefiles or start deleting stuff just to get it running. It has been a total nightmare on the scale of GFWL for me.

Serious question: Were the lyrics to that song being sung in Japanese?

Because that would explain why nothing she said sounded like real words. I thought I could occasionally hear one or two words in English so I wasn't sure.

Also who controls Hatsune Miku? She's not a robot or an AI, there must be a puppet master right? is it one person or a group? What corporation is underneath those sparkling blue eyes?!

Actually Hatsune Miku is what is called a vocaloid. It comes from voice software where composers can make songs and the voice sings it for you in the voice of the vocaloid. Its amazing how a character from a cover became so insanely popular.

For all the info.

Are Platinum developers Americans?

Not in the least. And the story was, of course, Kojima. Nanomachines, son!

4 stars.

I know they are not. It was meant to be rhetorical. Kojima wrote all of it? I don't believe it because that last bit sounded like Vanquish's plot.

Well clearly you never played MGS4 then. This was still light on the "wtf-o-meter" that kojima does compared to that game.

VIDEO GAMES.

DOTA really shouldn't count, but what do I know?

I don't see how you can say DOTA2 shouldn't count.

It's his favourite game of the year. You can not like it, that's totally fine, but to suggest it doesn't count is wrong.

I think it's more that Dota 2 has been played since 2011. If we're leaving GOTY stuff that wide open - I played the original Bioshock again this year, and that would top my list again. Actual release date is pretty irrelevant if people have been playing for years already.

People can do what they like, but it seems redundant to name older games that you've played this year too in these lists.

Actually they go in the podcast about this point and they agreed that the year its offically released it should be in that GoTY. If you start counting in beta's and alpha's its just an contrived mess.
