So while on my vacation, I thought I'd start up watching Power Rangers again. Last time I watched seasons 1 and 2, but then stopped on Season 3 about half-way through. 
 
Season 3 is the season before Power Rangers Zeo, which is the season that I CAN'T WAIT to get to. However it's now been about two years since I last watched those seasons, lol. So it's been a while. Although I had started up season 3 again no less than three times, but never completed it. Hopefully fourth time's the charm!
 
I've always been a fan of Power Rangers though. I can't beileve it is still going. Some of the newer stuff is insane. Like Power Rangers SPD, Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder. Those are the seasons that I can't wait to get to. The special effects are pure madness. I remember reading an interview with the producer of SPD, and him saying that he was literally pushing Disney as far as they could to create bigger and bigger explosions. He said he had gone up to feature film degree and kept pushing to see how far he could go. So awesome. 
 
But I know there are several pretty lame ones as well after Power Rangers In Space (which is one of my favorites) but I plan on sitting through all of them just to see them and give them a shot. I haven't even seen a glimpse of what they've done in the last year or two. The last new one I even saw was "Mystic Force" which seemed pretty stupid. 
 
Anyone else here a fan of the Power Ranger series? And if so what was your favorite season? Is there anyone that never stopped watching it and remains a fan from the good ol' days? It came out in '93 in America so I know many kids here are barely even the age of the series. Which is insane.

I liked the power rangers. I thought the first one in space was pretty good but yeah, orignal series and the few after were pretty great

I really really liked Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I remember playing the SNES game for the movie A LOT and coming home from school as fast as I could to watch the show.

There isn't enough irony in my body for me to properly enjoy it.

All I know about Power Rangers is that they wore silly outfits and the "White Power... ranger" image.

I loved power rangers but barely watched any of the seasons oddly enough. I remember watching the season 1, 2, turbo, and Wild Force like a die hard fanatic. If I remember my childhood correctly, I think Cartoon Network took up most of my time. LONG LIVE TOONAMI

When I was much younger, several years before "Power Rangers" first showed up in the U.S., I was living in the Philippines and they used to have a few of those Japanese tokusatsu shows.  I don't recall exactly which ones, but I'm sure there was a Kamen Rider in there somewhere.  Anyhow, if you think the whole Power Rangers franchise has gone on for way too long, well then you obviously aren't in the know, because they're basically repackaged from Japan's Super Sentai franchise, which has been going on since the mid-70s.  
 
I'm more a fan of Super Robot anime from the 1970s such as Mazinger Z and Getter Robo, myself. Also the various kaiju movies such as the Godzilla franchise and Gamera.

I haven't watched Power Rangers since Disney got control of them. Of the seasons I've seen, I just remember that the Machine Empire was my favorite as far as villains go. Glad to see that Saban got the rights back. I saw an episode of Shinkenger the other day. It will be interesting to see how they will westernize it.

As a kid I was spoiled by good children's programming like Pete & Pete, Batman, Eerie Indiana, Ren and Stimpy, The Tick, Animaniacs, and Tiny Toons.   It reminded me of a bad MST3K movie with out the added benefit of robots mocking it.

How could anyone hate The Tick ? You have no soul or are ignorant of the shows existence good sir.  Power Rangers was nothing more then dubbed footage of some Japanese Kids show with clips of American teenagers teaching lessons in morality.  It's only entertainment value was purely camp and for the youngsters that were just weened off Barney and Friends who's minds weren't ready for the subtle nuances of Rocko's Modern Life. 
 
 Also you dissed the greatest kid's show ever, Batman the Animated Series. It was well written and didn't dumb it down for the children unlike Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.  My freaking mom actually enjoyed the show and would watch it even if I wasn't around. I recently picked up the entire series on DVD and that show still holds up today. In my opinion Kevin Conroy is the best Batman and Mark Hamil is the best Joker.
