Before his paternity leave, Jeff Gertsmann pretty much hinted at the game being like this too. Judging by your comments, he might have been right. I haven't started it yet, because I would need to free up space on my SSD and I'm still playing Starfield. I will still give it a try at some point. The last Forza Motorsport I played was a pretty good demo you could download from the Microsoft app store years ago. In fact I think it was the free edition Forza game exclusive to the store as a way to advertise it back when it first started. So I will give the game the benefit of the doubt.

Most Castlevania games are great IMO, but I can see why some people wouldn't like them. The difficulty can be brutal in some games, and the knock back when being hit, which at times can cause the character to fall into a pit can be frustrating. Floating Medusa heads, worst enemy in any Castlevania game. Therefore, I'm not going to demand you turn in your gaming card as I get it. But Castlevania 1-3, Super Castlevania 4, Symphony of the Night, and Bloodlines are genuine classics. Not to mention many of the quality ones on handheld that is based off the SOTN gameplay, which itself is based off the Simon's Quest gameplay. The graphics, the environments, the music, and yes even the gameplay... good times.

Not having the option to add a drive to the old digital PS5 sucks. I likely wouldn't have gotten it anyway, but still.

@topcyclist: Some western audiences hating on JRPGs is nothing new. Just like them hating on Anime is nothing new. It has nothing to do with the storylines being too long, its more of a cultural thing, and I'm being nice when I say that. The truth is much more negative.

@bigsocrates: Thanks for the good laugh. But yeah, I meant Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel series, not Trials. Even though I also had that problem with those games

The main problem I have with JRPGs now a days isn't the story. I still like a lot of the stories. The problem is they still use that grinding gameplay loop, where you destroy minor enemies only to run into an overpowered boss who is ten levels above the characters when they reach it, forcing the player to grind until they reach or surpass that boss' level, or earn enough money to buy the most powerful weapons and armor to stand a chance; usually its both. This is why I like to play my JRPGs on PC so I can use Cheat Engine and easily give my game infinite money to cut back on the grinding mess. I couldn't have made it through any of the Trials games if I didn't do this for example, and a lot of those bosses are still ball breaking hard.

@nocall You forgot: * male elderly wise, who proves to be one of the most powerful in the game.

As someone who did write user reviews back during the golden years of GB, I say, go for it.

@zombiepie: I don't even remember the date thing. Was that an optional thing? I never actually got Yuffie when I played FF VII, so I never really know if something I don't remember from that game was just something I missed.

Yeah, I've replayed it where I got Tifa on a date and Barret. It largely depends on your choices prior to the Golden Saucer event. If you're cold toward both girls, then Barret will be your date. If you're nice to Yuffie, she will be your date. But like Zombie said, the default is Aerith, because Cloud at that moment is attracted to her the most.

Darn, as someone who is looking forward to Foamstars, I missed it. But I still have high hopes for this game. Who says you can't have a Splatoon third party like game. Who says only Nintendo can benefit. If the game is fun to play and not too brutal with the in game purchases, it should hit. Time will tell.
