I'm glad someone asked this question as I have been thinking the same thing. I am really wanting to try Elite: Dangerous and I think a flight stick would really enhance the experience with the game.
I'm completely fine with delays. Working in IT I can completely understand how things get off schedule. But when things are delayed and then still released in a bad state, that's when things get very concerning.
I am sometimes disappointed when a game is delayed, but in a lot of cases when one game is delayed, I normally pick up another game i might not have been paying much attention to and it turns out to be great. So in a lot of cases, delays do not bother me at all. As others have said, release a good, fun, stable product and not one that requires constant patching to fix.
It was very sad to hear this news over the weekend. I had the urge to pull my Odyssey 2 out to see if I could still get that thing to work. It was my first console as a kid and back then things were so different.
Picked this game up with my new GTX 970 card which should be here tomorrow. Probably won't have much time till the weekend to play but add me to your crew. I played the beta for this and thought it was ok and I'm hoping that being able to do more stuff with a crew will add more to the game.
I've been using BeyondPod since I switched to Android years ago. Paid for it and really liked it until the last huge update which completely changed the interface. It's still good, just took a while to get used to the new UI. I've considered switching to Doggcatcher as that was the other good one I've heard about on Android but I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I've been playing locally, but I haven't done anything online yet. I've been waiting since the guys showed this off on the PC and it's as good as I thought it was going to be.
I think I'd like to know a little more about this game before I pass final judgement. I like to play and experience all sort of games, so I may have to try this just to see how if feels to play it. I am guessing once you get into the game, it isn't going to feel any different than GTA, Saints Row or Hotline Miami or any other game similar to them.
I have the Astro A50's and they work great on both my PS4 and my PC. I haven't tried it on the PS3 or 360 yet but playing Shadow of Mordor with them over the weekend was truly amazing.
