Right now I'd go with Age of Wonders III, there is hardly anything better in regards to fantasy 4X games. Though I can't wait for Endless Legend, but will wait for a final release rather than opting into early access.
I don't hate it, I just tried it and never played it again. I love card games but here I don't know why it has just failed to grab my attention and lost me shortly after the tutorial. Maybe it felt too simple compared to the other games I've been playing over the years.
Seeing people mentioning MMOs reminded me of my love for The Secret World. The game has easily the best quests in the genre that range from basic to really cool objectives of understanding morse code (I ended up downloading an app for my phone to solve the quest and it worked!!) or solving a puzzle based on clues given to you along the way, adventure game style. It is one probably just my kind of MMO. There is enough to keep my brain occupied and the right amount of interaction between the players.
@hero_swe: I can't get Outcast running on my laptop and it's driving me insane. (got it off GoG)
on topic: Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, for w\e reason I always hear people saying it's a bad game...no. I love RE3, while not better than no.2 it has a lot of cool ideas and Nemesis was awesome baddie. The way they had him hunt the players was great, I mean back in the day the idea of something following you through a loading screen was kinda mind blowing. So when I ran from him for the first time and then after the camera screen changed and I heard the door smash, controller vibrated.... "STARS!" I paused the game and had to calm down for a minute.
I'll second Obsidian Interstellar as my favourite but just like SteamRickroller said, once Hyper Light Drifter soundtrack is out that will probably just blast to my no.1 spot.
