I hope this isn't considered youtube spam, but yo: this kid looks amazingly similar to how I imagine Jeff looked when he was 11. Not only that, but he's busting out wack-ass rhymes, something else I can imagine a young Jeff doing. Anyone else have the same oh-shit reaction?

" Quality control over the reviews. They send out review copies to the companies they trust. "
Read: Pay. "
Rockstar doesn't have to pay for good scores. "
Nor do they have to make games that deserve them in order to receive them. "
No matter how you personally feel about Rockstar's games, you can't deny that they make quality products. "
Idiots prefer planes and rocket launchers to good story, you can't change it no matter how much you try, "
Oh man, enjoying gameplay over story? In a sand-box game? WHAT IDIOTS, amirite? Not saying a good story isn't a plus, but if I really want a compelling narrative I'll see a fucking movie. If I want a fun distraction involving blowing shit up, I'll play a video game. I'm really scratching my head that you seem to think that' something an "idiot" would want in a video game.

Had the video not gone down, wouldn't this have been considered youtube spam?

@DystopiaX: You don't consider that e-mail harassment? Does he need to be shot in the knees to fit your definition?  Seriously, how can you be okay with a company sending out that kind of email? Are threats any better than bribes?

Those print reviews are not reflective towards each publication's overall view because it's all of the reviewers' own opinion and they might have been astonished by it, not for money; notice the bold on print. In order for magazines to get the reviews on time for release, Rockstar has to send them early copies. They have stricter deadlines due to the actual print and distribution process of making a magazine. Print is not the fucking internet.

Here here. Nice to see someone gets it. The whole idea that R* is paying for reviews is just absurd. Sure it might happen with some companies (Kane & Lynch), but I seriously doubt R* would bother wasting the money. Why? Because despite how some of you might feel about GTA IV, the majority of purchasers loved the game and thought it was great. It sold fantastically and was highly regarded as one of the best games of the year. R* didn't need to pay anyone for that, it happened fully on the game's own merits. In fact, I can't think of a single R* game since at least GTA 3 that R* would have bothered to waste money on as far as paying for reviews. The games have all done phenomenally well and been highly regarded by all kinds of publications and people as fantastic. Why would they be paying for something they're getting anyway? That's just throwing money away, and last I checked, businesses aren't too keen on that. "
I never once mentioned reviews being paid for, and no, I do not believe that Rockstar paid for a single review. What I do believe though, and what you allude to, is that in order for a publication to put out their review early, they had to get approval from Rockstar; the same happens with almost every other game; reviewers get early copies on the agreement that they do not print the review until a certain date unless it's a 9 or higher. This is pretty common knowledge, not some "conspiracy theory" that I'm making up. Do some research on what happened with the reviews of Assassins Creed. So take that info and think of yourself as a magazine company. You know that Title X is getting alot of hype and people want to lick up every bit of it they can get. You also know that if you don't give it a high score, you won't be able to review it in time for your current publication. Take those facts to heart and you see why I'm skeptical about these early reviews.

Just wondering, the mighty powers of google/wikipedia seem to have failed me in my pursuit at finding when the beta is supposed to end.

Oh man, I hope that "crash" fix is what I think it is. It's such a pain in the ass to have to ctrl+alt+delete anytime I want to close the program.

Edit: it is indeed. Happy days! Also, the new Thor is still pretty substantial in size. It's quite humorous to see it being transported by a medivac.
