The new patch will totally change the timing of pretty much all protoss builds... I've stopped 4gating and got 3gate robo when I can... you can easily hold 4gate with the robo and then you can start collosus production alot earlia than the guy who 4gates.But yeah every PvP I play ends up with 4gate to start off with, then sit back and max out, get a big ball and a-click into the other guys ball and hope you win.... laame "
Yeah, LiquidTyler's been going gateway-robo-gateway with delayed warpgate lately and has somehow managed to not only hold off 4gate , but go colossi at the same time after getting 1-2 immortals out and using pure zealots with 1-2 sentries.  And this is with the current build time.  With the new one it will be even better.

Apparently it does make a fairly big difference and will open tons of new builds.  If you go for a robo you are guaranteed at least one immortal (two with chronoboost) and more chronoboosted gateway units, which makes it miles easier to hold off 4gates, especially if they are stalker heavy.

Exactly.  I remember back before they raised the build time and you'd get tons of proxy gates, especially on Jungle Basin.  There were at least 4-5 viable spots to put them.  And then there was Blistering Sands and Kulas Ravine...

I just realized pylon radius will also mess up cannon rushes to an extent as it will take more pylons for the cannons to get into firing range.  YES


Combat-ex will be disappointed with that.  I swear he cannon rushes every game.

I'm also pumped about archons being massive.  I was watching a replay from last night and I lost 3 archons because of marauder slow.  They'll be soooo good against bio now.

I never really listened to TB's youtube stuff but I do enjoy him quite a bit on IPL.  It is more play-by-play than analysis but sometimes I like that better, just sit back and enjoy the game instead of worrying about all possible outcomes and calling when the game is done before it actually is.

Indeed, I totally forgot about Shakuras.  Though I always scout thoroughly on that map because of how easy it is to proxy stuff due to its size.
You could probably zealot rush with the gates in your base on Slag pits close positions.  That map is so terrible.

I'm interested in experimenting with the ghost change because it would make marine/marauder/ghost pressure much more accessible against protoss now that you need less gas.  Playing random is so fun!

Yeah I saw that interview.  Nestea seems to think quite highly of Losira.
