I don't see jeff leaving this industry or GB, but I can eventually see him taking up a full managerial role as more and more younger folks continue to join the site.
This is the most likely outcome. I swear this thread pops up at least every few months. The dude is just tired.
1. Last of Us 2. I find it hard to believe the PS4 can even run that game, just wish we got a release date. Easy system seller.
2. Bethesda and it wasn't even close. Excited for a new Doom already and though it's probably AT LEAST 3 years off, it was nice they acknowledged ES 6's existence.
3.
Last of Us 2
Resident Evil 2
Cyberpunk 2077
Halo Infinite
Devil May Cry 5
Bonus thought: I have virtually zero interest in Death Stranding at this point. I'm just sick of these cryptic ass trailers that show or tell nothing whatsoever what the game's about. Not to mention 70% of the demo was just Norman Reedus walking. Boring.
A few people in this thread for one, and as someone who started playing DMC in 2001, that reboot has nothing to do with this franchise. The vast majority of DMC fans share that sentiment.
Based on what? What made DmC so much different than the other games aside from having a, maybe, too edgy attitude? And who gets to decide what is DMC and what isn't? Is it the fans or is the people who own the rights to the game? Because, I would argue that DmC has as much right to the name as any of the other games, including the much beloved DMC2. I get that a lot of the DMC fans didn't like DmC because it wasn't a "true DMC" game, but I aside from that, I haven't heard a lot of reasons why. Just that it wasn't their DMC game, whatever the fuck that means.
You can only make so many stylistic changes to the point where something just becomes and totally new entity. While DMC 2 is hot garbage, you can still tell what it's supposed to be.
Level design, lack of "weight" to the combat system, art style, boring weapons (and lack thereof), easy and copy-paste enemies and bosses that remind me of DMC 2's. I could go one for awhile. The only thing that DmC has in common with the main series is well.....it's a hack n slash game with dudes named Dante, Vergil, Sparta and Mundus.
This guy's review explains it better with more humor than I could.
