I'm one of those weirdos who likes the additions THUG made (minus the freakout) so I'd still rather play those. It does look nice but I dont really care that much about graphics, it's all about the gameplay, especially with THPS. Also the asking price is high, i'm tempted to buy it just to show support to THPS but I dont think Activision deserve that nor do they care unlesss the game sells COD numbers.

I thought the CG was pretty bad (reminded me of the original Appleseed) but I enjoyed it overall.

I agree that Altered Carbon is more interesting when theres a detective angle involved. I thought Season 2 started off decent enough but got very boring, it also felt cheaper than the first season, the fight scenes in general were much worse.

I enjoyed the original game (Gestalt) quite a bit but I have no desire to play it again. A lot of the game was quite tedious. (although I found the world and it's characters more endearing than Automata)

That being said if they did a full remake with Platinum at the helm i'd be on board, but personally I would much rather Platinum made more games based on their own IPs.

I just completed it and had a good time, the performance was very uneven (XB1X) but not enough to ruin the game. I think the problem I had is a lot of the stuff they added (vs the first game) felt like padding rather than interesting things to flesh out the world. I was often reminded of Hollow Knight for obvious reasons but that game did world building much more successfully in my opinion. That comparison might be a bit unfair since Ori was never really about that.

It's a better looking and playing game than the original (when it isnt hitching or slowing down) but I wasnt never surprised by it. Which is hard to do to be fair.

Blackout is still the only Battle Royale game i've enjoyed so hopefully this follows suit.

@sgtsphynx: Yeah i've done the same with the bumpers/back paddles but for different reasons. (I assume)

I have this weird issue with the standard Xbox One controller where one of the bumpers just stops working, with my 'day one' controller it was the left bumper, then I bought one of the more modern controllers and had the same problem with the right. Maybe i'm pressing it too hard? I dont know. No problems with the PS4 & Switch controllers.

Using the paddles instead is also nice since i've always hated using the bumpers and triggers at the same time, it just doesnt feel good. Thats a problem that isnt limited to the Xbox One controller though. The PS2 controller felt fine but obviously that didnt have triggers.

It sucks that these remasters arent 4k on the X & Pro, I feel like they were advertised as such. It's especially baffling when you see last gen games like Ninja Gaiden 2 have a superior enhancement on the X for free. As much as I like these games I think i'll stick with the regular versions that seem to play well enough on the X.

Oh right I almost forgot Hunt Down the Freeman much like Portal is a spin-off of Half-Life.

I'm not sure if Dead or Alive counts as a spin-off but it's set in the same universe as Ninja Gaiden. In the same vein Final Fight is a spin-off of Street Fighter.
