Some of my Favourite Video Game Characters

Yep!

List items

  • Pride of the Blood Ravens. Fights in the name of the Empra. Did a catchy tune with Captain Diomedes.

  • A ridiculous man. Can shout himself back to life. Did a catchy tune with Commander Boreale.

  • What a voice. A measured, disciplined Force Commander of the Blood Ravens Chapter of the Space Marines. Hoping for mod support/a mod for 'DoW III' to restore the original 'DoW' voice actor's lines in their rightful place (Angelos's gob.)

  • A thousand-plus years of perfecting the finest insults for all of her enemies. Her Stronghold Assaults feature some of the very best.

  • Merc and sometimes-Jedi. A cocky scoundrel. Sort-of a cross between Luke and Han.

  • The unusual friend and voice in the ear of Agent 47. An intriguing and morally grey character.

  • Not too much of a 'character' in the traditional sense. That said, the details we get to see are fascinating to me (his regard for animals, his preparedness (including an impressive dedication to research) and his shrewdness and skill as an actor stand out...or don't!)

  • Faith Connors is a level-headed, impossibly physically fit individual with great tattoos. Despite fairly limited character development in 'Mirror's Edge' (2008), I enjoyed my time as her in that game and its successor, 'Mirror's Edge: Catalyst' (2016). She is a reliably enjoyable character to be as well as play as.

  • A Soviet Psychic played at maximum FMV levels by Udo Kier. The subject of an expansion to 'Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2' wherein he can build UFOs and grind people into money. Said expansion also features a trip to the Moon for the Soviets, now battling against Yuri, in which swarms of jetpacked Soviet Cosmonauts with laser guns fight against massive tanks (some with giant brains inside their shells.)

  • Ray Wise is the President of the United States in 'Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2'. Would only be exceeded in excellence when Tim Curry took on the role of Premier of the Soviet Union in 'Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3'.

  • Loveable cutscene contact of the Allied Commander in 'Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2'. Thanks to Giant Bomb's diligent Wiki editors, I've just learned his first name is 'Ben'. Cool!

  • "Nukes? Me?"

  • No matter the odds, I'll always save Malik. Checking in with Jensen, being the first point-of-contact after his encounters with some unpleasant individuals and striking up a semi-flirtatious rapport, their dialogue is always a joy to listen to. It helps that Malik's character reflects how I played my Jensen - as idealistic and willing to fight for what's right. Non-lethally, of course, but with suitable shock-and-awe. Tasers.
