My $1500 PC can't even get close to 4k, so if a $600 console comes along that outperforms it many people will certainly be interested.

Everyone buying a TV this year or next year will end up with 4K even if by accident. Its in all but the lowest tier new screens over 50 inches at this point.

@franstone: Agreed with everything you said. The price on the slim is so low as a UHD HDR blu ray player I may even buy it just for the year before getting scorpio. I only UHD player on the market only plays blu rays and is $400.00. I do have a powerful gaming PC, but use my consoles all the time as well.

@humanity: I was going to get that dumb $400 UHD blu Ray player for my new tv, so this will save me money in the interim if I do get it. Hopefully the PS4 Neo is priced competitively.

Since images of the new slim leaked today, I'm gonna go with 100%. It supports 4k and HDR, so if it has UHD blu ray player than it will be a steal (the only one on the market so far is a Samsung for $400).

Destiny, Call of Duty 4

Destiny or League. I pretty much did exactly this with Destiny for about 18 months.

I would make the same choice right now with plans to buy a Neo if something came out that I wanted to play. The base PS4 will be worth much less very soon, and it sounds like you got a nice deal.

I won my first 10 matches after the expansion dropped (those quests went down fast last night.)

My deck was the trusty secret paladin with my Cthun cards thrown in to replace the GvG and Nax cards. I honestly cannot believe that worked.

My favorite console ever. My launch unit died once and was replaced by warranty. The replacement is still good. My second unit (that I bought when I needed HDMI) is still running as well.
