" I played the original, when it was first released and it wasn't something worth remembering. Past a few soggy afternoons, when I was a teenager. Its the most over rated game in history. I have zero interest in this new title and 100% expect it to be complete fail. There is absolutely no way this game will live up to it's own hype. Which is good. Because its about time, that shitty game got the reputation it deserves. Instead of being over glorified by a bunch of half wit button mashers, over grown teenagers and stoner herp derp gamers. Let the Fail Begin! "
Does that include me? :p We have consoles in the house but I rarely use them for anything other than console friendly games like Super Monkey Ball (we've got Persona too, but that seems to be a looong game, i.e. an investment). I game mainly on a PC, and the idea of trying to play a FPS with a controller is a bit weird frankly, I prefer keys + mouse. Which is why I thought the idea of having PCs hiding under desks with 360 controllers a bit unusual. I agree that this game has likely outstayed it's welcome, Duke's lines will start to grate after a while, and that humour in games has a limited replay value and if its low rent it can be damaging to the game. I wasn't excited then and I'm not excited now really.
I looked to find out if a game was made based on Animaniacs ("Heeeelloooo Nurse!"). There was once made in 1995, not that I ever saw it and nothing about them since. Given that TellTale are making character based games right now, does anyone think that Animaniacs would be a good fit for an adventure game?
Well it makes for a decent desktop background I think, I was tired of my old desktop. I'm quite interested in this game now, I don't have many games in this style so I'll keep an eye on it.
I've liked the site for a while but posting here is new-ish for me. My brother has an Xbox360 which he'd let me use if I wanted, but I find myself more interested in FPS titles, with adventure games a close second so a PC is a must for me. The first console I owned was an original PS1, I had some good times with that which were mainly Tomb Raider and WipeOut 2097. Then it burned out :( I really liked the Quake TNT this week. Madness! Also Brad throws down the gauntlet to the "Brad-can't-game" peeps. Food? Smoothies, berry fruit yoghurt, Lemon sorbet, marmite on toast. Not all at the same time though, thanks. You have my address :p Better make sure it's on quick delivery too.
" Can someone explain what happened with all of them leaving and all. I've heard something about a review but not the whole story "
1) Major publisher advertises heavily on gaming web site 2) A reviewer on that site gives a review of that game suggesting that it is lacking in quality 3) Reviewer and Web site ideals don't match 4) Reviewer no longer works for web site (sacked/leaves) 5) Reviewer is instrumental in starting up Giant Bomb 6) Lots of previous web site staff also lose interest in the company and join GB 7) Profit. 8) Forgot to add that reviewer in question is pretty bored of this topic, a recent topical QL emphasized that we all should move on.
It seems to be a balanced review of K&L2 nonetheless, some praise is awarded but other gaming web sites have commented on similar issues that make this game a questionable purchase.
