There are things I want to really like about ReCore. The movement and traversal mechanics can feel really good, there are interesting and unique elements to the combat, and there's a great deal of charm emanating from each robot frame that you'll take along with you on your journey. I feel like I missed out on the cultural impact that Limbo had when it was released. I played the game and enjoyed it, but did so years after it dropped on Xbox Live. Doom is exactly what a Doom game should be in 2016. It’s fast, gory, high-octane and chock full of Satan.
