The first time you see the Asylum Demon it's pretty much impossible to beat him (as I'm sure you've discovered). There might be a way to escape though...
I just could not beat the final boss of Rogue Legacy. I really liked the game but no matter how many times I tried I just couldn't finish it. Up until then the scaling with enemies seemed reasonable, but I felt outclassed by the boss and seemed to do no damage. Pretty frustrating for such a cool game.
I remember playing Myst with my dad when I was very young (first game I ever really played) and getting scared in the Metal Age. The music is ominous and there are a bunch of weapons and torture devices which was pretty unsettling.
The game that truly freaked me out when I was younger though was Star Wars Droidworks. I loved that game but the final 5 missions introduced assassin droids that would chase you while you tried to solve the puzzles (and deal with your constantly draining battery, which was already kind of stressful). Those assassin droids terrified me so much that I never actually finished the game, I'd be interested to go back now but I don't really have the means to play it anymore.
Hey everyone! Last week an awesome user had a giveaway for a game key which I managed to get and I wanted to do the same thing! I've got a spare key for the Steam version of Dustforce and the first person to message me can have it!
I'm a composition student who got in to my school playing jazz guitar and am working on learning piano for practical purposes and to assist my fascination with synthesizers. It's tough coming from guitar but I really enjoy it! Sight reading for both hands makes me a bit crazy though...
As far as tips go, definitely don't ignore theory, it can seem boring/daunting but is really helpful! If you (or anyone for that matter) have theory questions I'd be happy to help! I also tend to learn each hand's part separately when working on new songs. Always start slow and play with a metronome to keep time!
In my last solo game I made it to third place with a sweet grenade kill. It was a terrible circle with just one building in it, one of those circular two story towers, on the edge. I ran in the downstairs portion and had my heart stop when I heard footsteps above me. I ran back outside, shot open a window and threw a grenade it. I was rewarded with the kill which felt great, and then I had to crawl out to the new circle in the center of a field. Turns out the two remaining guys were on either side of me and I got gunned down by both. Was a great round though, definitely my best solo game.
I've only played a little bit (not far enough to get the real mind bending stuff that is sure to come) but I'm already really impressed with the art and music, it seems they've stepped it up from the previous game. Still waiting until I can really sit down with it to delve deep though.
I just realized this came out today, definitely snuck up on me! I loved the first game enough to pick up the awesome vinyl pressing of the soundtrack so I'm definitely on board for more. Anyone else looking to pick this up?
