It's a tough call. Yeah, not a lot of developers would be allowed to take 4 years to make a game. Final Fantasy is one of those rare rule breaking exceptions, thanks to the intensely dedicated fan base.  
We're currently more of a TV episode/immediate satisfaction society anyways, building stories upon existing settings and characters.  
Waiting too long for a sequel could loose the interest of the audience, which would be more difficult to regain over pissing a few people off with a buggy release.   
 
Am I upset that my Fallout: New Vegas crashes my system? Of course.  But I'm pretty sure the majority of buggy games aren't quite as console exploding buggy, so it tends to fly.

I looked it up and the Anti-material rifle uses .50 caliber rounds. Whoah. This will be fun. 

At first I was a little disappointed in the lack of that  new game feeling.  100+ more hours of opening the same metal box for the same rusty cans, really? 
After playing a few hours, I realized the voice acting, plot, companions, and faction complexity were amazing and now I love it. 
Still kinda wish The Strip was really happening, but that would probably explode my system.

Ive been having fun dressing him up in various ridiculous outfits. He gets mad when you remove the beret, but then he gets over it.
I want to make a double sniper team but I'm not good at making ammo yet. Are there any other sniper like rifles that don't use .308 ammo?

Indie Games could be pretty funny though.

It's brokenness is hilarious.  How could a game could be this broken?
