@durog: Good call on the Wham! Whatever happened to Andrew Ridgeley anyway?

I would suggest Run DMC. Embedding disabled by request. Lame!

I have nothing to add except that my roommate and I have been playing Left 4 Dead 2 on our Win7 machines and we have had no problems whatsoever. Also, you should totally reinstall Steam with that link that MattyFTM provided. Heck, reinstall Bioshock as well!

I haven't played that many movie-based games as I usually try to avoid anything that is supposed to be lousy, but Goldeneye was awesome. Of course, it did come out two years after the movie. It wasn't rushed out the door as a marketing tool like movie-based games nowadays.

Also, while it's frequently debated as to how much of a "movie-based" game it was, Sunsoft's Batman for the NES is easily one of my favorite NES games. There are many people out there who believe that it was some other game that they repurposed to be a Batman game once Batmania hit (kinda like Doki Doki Panic/Super Mario Bros 2). Regardless, that game i rad.

This is too fucking hilarious. I joined just to spread the love even though I don't really participate in Facebook group stuff that frequently (ever). Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know which episode of the Bombcast this originated in? I would certainly like to hear it again and I'm sure that other people will come upon this forum posting and have no idea what the hell this is all about.

@ninjakiller:  Aha! I was thinking that Beck probably wears some pretty sweet Christmas sweaters and I wanted to see them. I think I might want to check out this Glenn Beck movie though, if I can find a way to see it without paying. I'm sure it's a rollicking good time. Might have to have a few drinks first.

I totally thought you were talking about the singer/songwriter/musician, Beck, when I first clicked on this. I was all, "Christmas Sweater? What?"

I just think that the OpenOffice mouse is hilarious because of the ridiculous number of buttons. It was more of a joke than anything. I do think it would be insanely useful for WoW though. You wouldn't even need a keyboard!

I would also like to recommend Logitech keyboards. I have the LX 710 (That's what it says on the bottom anyway) and it's lasted me a good long while. Unfortunately, I spilled PBR on it a few nights ago and now many of the keys on the right side stick occasionally when pressed. If I weren't unemployed, I would certainly pick up the G15 or the G19. Kinda pricy though. Their mice have always treated me well so I might recommend those too. I'm just using the one with came with the aforementioned LX 710 in the bundle.

I have two roommates who got the Razer Death Adder mice at PAX '08 and they are pretty nice as well. One of them is looking at getting a Razer keyboard to replace the relic that he's currently using. Doing research at Amazon, he's heard lots of scuttlebutt that they aren't of the same quality as the mice (they arrive broken, the keys fall off, etc.)

Personally, I would recommend actually going to Best Buy or Fry's or wherever you go to check that kind of stuff out and testing some out for yourself. You can get something super-flashy but if it doesn't feel good to use it might get on your nerves after a while. A particular friend of mine has a keyboard where you have to mash the keys hard to get them to register where my Logitech is like tapping on butter.

As for the mouse, if you don't go with the Logitech, you might want to check this out.

Also, Broken Sword is awesome.

It's highly unlikely that I'll win, but I'd like to thank frogsoblivion21 for this one chance to be a winner in my short, pathetic life.

I wore out two joysticks on X-Wing back in the day. The joy of X-Wing was that it was usually just you and a few other X/Y/B/A-Wings against a whole slew of Tie Fighters. I always avoided Tie Fighter because (from my X-Wing experience) it seemed like it would be you and a bunch of Tie Fighters against just a few Rebel fighters. I seriously doubt that was the case, but my young mind always had that idea so I missed out it seems. They should TOTALLY remake Tie Fighter so I'll finally have a chance to play it.
