Whenever I install Windows, I usually download Firefox first and then whatever video card drivers I need as the ones that came with the video card may not be the newest ones. As for thingie with the checkboxes that lets you install a bunch of programs at once, I think I saw what you are referring to on Tekzilla a few months ago and I think it's this:

Also, good luck with your new computer! There are few things in life more exciting than getting a new computer.

That certainly was a great game. Apparently, the game changes a bit each time you play as certain characters might be replicants on one playthrough whereas they may not be on subsequent playthroughs. I actually still have a copy of the game somewhere. With all of this free time I have, I should reinstall it and see what's up.

As for availability, it seems like it might be more likely that it would come to Good Old Games. I just checked and they don't have it currently. Hopefully there isn't some weird thing with Blade Runner licensing rights that's preventing it from being released. That would be lame.

It wasn't working for me earlier. Not in Firefox anyway. I got it open in Internet Explorer and at the bottom of the page it said "You seem to be running Internet Explorer. This site is best viewed in a better browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox." I thought that was humorous.

Anyway, it seems to be working now (in Firefox) so good luck to you!

I haven't played it yet, but Torchlight looks pretty rad. It's also only $20. Worth a look I think.

I don't know. I'd say get the DSi because it's smaller. If you have huge pockets and aren't concerned with massive size, you could totally wait for the DSi XL. Personally, I'd be fine with the DSi as I think games will probably look a lot better on it? I don't know all the details on the DSi XL, but I seriously doubt that the games will be rendered in a higher resolution to accommodate whatever the resolution of the larger screens.

I think that you should totally download Propeller Arena. I did a few years ago and I don't feel bad about it at all being that it was never released and all that.

The other thing to keep in mind is that there are lots of independent game stores that do sell older games for consoles. For example, here in Seattle there is a place called Pink Gorilla and they specialize in games from the 80s and 90s. You won't find any stuff for the more obscure systems there, but they have lots of NES, SNES, Genesis, Saturn, Game Boy, etc. games. They also have Dreamcast games! They had lots of them the last time I was there. In fact, when my first Dreamcast died, I went there to get a replacement. I think it was $30 or so.

In conclusion, you can totally download those games pretty easily but there are stores out there that cater to your exact needs that you could check out. So maybe you should do it. No pressure though. If you don't happen to live in a town with a store like that, then I apologize. You should move to one because it's rad. Also, here's a link to Pink Gorilla's website.

The only two that really stand out for me are Dark Carnival and Hard Rain. I certainly appreciate Dark Carnival for the variety that it gives. The rollercoaster and rollercoaster part in Dark Carnival are both great. I recall doing the last portion of Dark Carnival once, but only once. Since then, we've started playing on advanced and can't get past the turnstiles leading to the stage portion.

Yeah, Dark Carnival is awesome but I have to say that Hard Rain is easily my favorite. The first time you open the door and see the sugar cane field was awesome. THEN, when you get to the halfway point and have to leave with the gas and the frickin' storm is happening? Mind blowing! The whole Hard Rain campaign is kind of a one note thing compared to Dark Carnival which has lots of variety, but that's a great note. Also, witches. There are lots of witches.

Also, I'm new to the whole Left 4 Dead thing. I have it on good authority that you can "crown" a witch to kill her instantly. It's my understanding that you just have to kill her with a headshot before she's startled and she'll die in one blow? Is this true? Earlier tonight, my friends tried on four occasions to pull this off and it didn't happen. Do you have to shoot her in the forehead or in the back of the head?

Also, Hard Rain.

I went ahead and looked at your achievements that you have earned to get a sense of what you have already played, and I honestly can't think of anything except for Left 4 Dead 2. I've been playing it on the PC and it's rad as hell. I also didn't see any achievements for 'Splosion Man. That's a game that I enjoyed a bit from the demo (I'm unemployed, and have been for a while, so I don't get that many games.) I know that people have been wishy-washy on The Saboteur, but I think it looks like it might be fun for a rental at least. Rogue Warrior is pretty hilarious, but it won't last you a week.

I don't know how you feel about RPGs, but I noticed that you didn't get that far into Blue Dragon so I'm going to assume that you might not like them as much? Or maybe Blue Dragon just sucked. I don't know because I've never played it myself. If you are a fan of RPGs, you might want to try Lost Odyssey. I remember it getting a pretty lukewarm reception when it was first released, but recently it seems like people can't stop talking about it.

Some RPG might last you a while OR you could get a few games off XBLA. There are too many options! What kind of game are you looking for? Let us know and I'm sure that tons of people will have a multitude of suggestions.
