Having watched hours of streams and videos, and read a ton of articles and threads (including this), I think I can safely say I wont buy this game anywhere near the launch date. The feeling of wanderlust seems to dip pretty hard for people just after a few hours. Then planets becomes nothing but containers of resources with varying degrees of hospitality (is this game an allegory for big oil companies?).

A survival/crafting game in space might be fun, though. And I hope they add more stuff, mechanics and concepts to this game in the future. As it is right now, it looks a bit sparse.

@forcen: No, it's pretty shitty and lazy.

At least I wont be around for too long for that kind of stuff. *wink wink nudge nudge*. *Hint hint smirk smirk*

C'mon. You should be used to cliffhangers without payoffs. Surely you've watched a TV-show once in your life?

Haywire

3/5

I don't know how they could've written more of a "spy fiction 101" -script. Which is really sad, because I loved most of the weird pacing of the chase/action scenes and no bullshit -editing. The other sad thing is Gina Caranos acting. Don't get me wrong, without her this movie shouldn't have been made at all. She's a hell of an athlete and figher that makes every fight look better than most movies. But the rest comes of as stiff and uncomfortable (extra underlined by making her play against some pretty good actors).

In the end, it was worth my time. Would be interesting to see a sequel. Gina has had a couple more acting roles since Haywire right?

I liked AC: Syndicate a whole bunch, but Rise of The Tomb Raider is a hell of a game, imo.

Wait, Austin is leaving? Was I really that busy this week to miss that?

Damn. And here I was imagining a future where young Austin took over the site from the old-timers and started a new era of the Giant Bomb. I was really looking forward to hearing more from him around these parts. Hope he's going some place cool.

Edit: Austin is the best.

A lot of the bigger announcements were known/leaked/hinted at beforehand? Weren't they? I think people are pretty psyked about a lot of games shown, but it's hard to muster up the same level of energy as when it's a complete surprise.

It's the year of the "Yeah yeah I know, looks cool, just give me the damn game already".

Just now finished Blood and Wine. Not every part was supergreat but I loved it in the end. Almost (definitely) got a bit teary-eyed with the ending I got.

Well, RIP The Witcher franchise, hope to see you again some day. Can't wait for CD Projects next... project.
