@frostyryan: Not just pause, but skipping cutscenes is something every game needs. It's kinda hard playing Final Fantasy X, watching a cut scene, getting a game over for whatever reason, then being forced to watch it all over again.

Final Fantasy X is more than a 10 year old game though. Yeah the HD version should have let you skip scenes but right off the top of my head, I can't think of a recent game that doesn't at least let you skip...

Actually, I recently played through Enslaved on PC and it doesn't let me skip cutscenes. This is really frustrating when I quit after starting a new chapter, I must re-watch the entire intro when I come back to the game. Or if I fail some some bosses, I must go through the cutscene again.

Given, Enslaved isn't THAT new either. But I think there's a couple games here and there that doesn't let you skip, still.

I'm kind of into games right now and don't have much to complain about other than too cluttered collectibles.

Oh, and standardize where we find the subtitle option, please.

It's not a direct assumption from their side, but something that I've been noticing lately is how quick and explicit people answer that they don't play games and don't have time for that stuff when I bring up games in any way. Hey, I know you don't do a lot of the things we've talked about, why did you feel the need to tell me this now because I mentioned Mario, Mr. Grownup Adultman? Do you think I have the time to watch football all sunday?

Maybe it's all in my head.

Monday morning it's coffee, friday night it's beer. Everything in between, it's water... no actually, it's still coffee.

I usually play the game of long and brisk walks with no music or podcasts to get my thoughts in order. If it doesn't work, at least I get some fresh air, some exercise and sleep a little better.

But I don't even know if I want to call it depression, in my case, it's usually a state of gloom and fatigue that pass over time. Real depression seem a bit more severe.

I find some use of the curated lists on Steam, if only to get some inspiration as what to play whether it's something well known or something more obscure. But I couldn't imagine that the few minutes per week I flip through those pages is worth a great deal of your resources.

I'll pick it up later, depending on the reviews. If it's anywhere near Dark Souls, I want to support and experience it. If it's a failed attempt, I'll pass.

I don't know if I've ever come across a media that's more alternating than games. Sometimes it's the gameplay that hooks me in (mostly), sometimes it's the characters, the story, the mood, the music etc.

Gone Home is one of the best games I've played because the subject slapped... sorry, kicked me in the head. There's maybe books or movies that does it better, but hey, I play games.

I drank three beers today and just now realized it was 8,2%. Good beer though, but goddamnit, I have work tomorrow.

I'm mostly happy with my job. I work with logistics towards retail stores in our own fairly large concern. Trying to find the right balance between sales and replenishments, cost and service levels, can be quite the headache. Especially since our field is extremely sensitive to seasons and campaigns. It can be stressful sometimes (like right now... christmas is coming) but it's mostly interesting and stimulating work.

If you like puzzle games and some economics, look into it.
