As a girl, I'm gonna just toss my opinion out there. 
 
Except, well. I'm not sure it should count. Or at least represent my gender as a whole. Because I'm.. well.. different. I tend to fall for someone's personality first, and looks second. Seriously! My last boyfriend was a serious WoW addict. He lived in his mom's basement, and.. shall i say more? I was his very first girlfriend.. Him and I looked worlds different, yet I'd never been with/met someone who was SO like me. It was pretty crazy how well matched we were. Well that is, until he moved away and crushed my heart.
 
Anyways. I guess I'm just defending those of us who are different from "most" girls. I don't judge people on how they look, I wait to get to know them. I hate going on shopping sprees, I hate chick flicks, and I only see Twilight in theatres because my current boyfriend (who I met in a GameStop) actually wants to go, lol. I like a guy for who he is, and would rather spend some quality time playing co-op Left4Dead then go out clubbing, or.. getting manicures, or whatever.

I've been listing to the Giant Bombcast for most of this year, and just now decided to join the site :)
I'm a PS3 fangirl, but not a troll, I promise!  
I pretty much just use the ol' Xbox for killin' zambies, and some exclusives.
I like to sew. 
Sometimes I make Pokemon bags :)

I was the "hot" girl who worked at Gamestop (freaking worst time ever.. I only stayed for like two months)
If you met me in real life, you'd probably never know how much of a video game nerd I really am.

Having just finished this game (at about 52 hours), I can say that the battle system is one of the things I enjoyed most about it. It's a much more faster pace than the previous FF games and completely different. I'm sure if they stuck with the same basic "Attack, Magic, Summon, Item" setup, people would be complaining about how they haven't updated it. So either way, people are going to complain. 
 
I have to admit though, that the linear gameplay can get pretty static. I do miss the exploration, going to towns, and talking to people that I have come to love in RPGs. From what I've heard though, Square wanted to make a game that "focused more on the story", which is why they made it so linear. Which in turn, makes players feel unconnected to the characters, therefore losing interest in the story.  
 
Personally, I've come to love the world, and have been spending time maxing out my characters, and taking on quests.

Lara Croft: The Guardian of Light.. when it comes out for PS3. 
And since I just beat FFXIII last nite, I was thinking about catching up on my Final Fantasy's and getting FFVIII on PSN :) 
 
O, and I know for sure I'll be getting into some LBP2 action in November :D
