Buying a Wii

So tomorrow I'm buying a Wii second hand from a dude. One controller, motionplus, and four games that honestly don't interest me that much (I think they were Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, EA Sports Active, and Grand Slam Tennis). So with those pathetic titles I'm now obviously looking to expand my library, so here's a list of planned purchases.

A Boy and His Blob
de Blob
Little King's Story
No More Heroes
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Okami
Resident Evil 4 (Wii Edition)
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Paper Mario
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure
Zelda: Twilight Princess

So with those games in mind, any game you think I should take a look at as well? Epic Mickey and Kirby's Epic Yarn both look really good as well. To my delight I heard that I can also play GameCube games on the Wii if I get a controller and memorycard (and actually find those games...), which means I could play more awesome classics like Wind Waker and Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door! So while I'm on that topic, any classic RPG/Adventure GameCube games I should try and find as well?

Don't immediately discount the Wii Sports games, they can be good fun even with just two people. Make sure you give them a chance!

Not sure what else to add to your list, as covers most things - as for Gamecube games, if you're a Resident Evil fan, it's worth looking out for Resident Evil 0, not to mention there were remakes of both 1 and 2 back when the series was a Gamecube exclusive.

Here's hoping that life has got a little better for you out there, especially if you're shelling out for a Wii!

All four games that you get with it are actually really, really good and you should give them a try. Especially(!) Wii Sports Resort.

Metroid Other M!
Monster Hunter Tri!

And for the NGC you can't go wrong with RPG's like Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Lost Kingdoms 1&2 or The Lord of the Rings The Third Age (last is a personal favorite, many seem to dislike it :/ )

That is a great list of games. I'm getting Muramasa in the mail tomorrow and it is supposed to be really good. You might want to check it out.

Cheers for all the feedback folks!

@TaliciaDragonsong:
Isn't Monster Hunter Tri mostly focused on online play?

Excitebike World Rally is a pretty sweet WiiWare game to try.  F-Zero GX for the Gamecube is a nice little gem, too.

@CrazyChris:
Yep, but I found that the singleplayer story is rather enjoyable too, I played the game a good bit offline before going online and had a blast.
Might be worth a rental instead of a buy if you're not going online then methinks!

I bought a Wii a couple months ago along with about the top ten games that I thought would interest me. While the games weren't bad, and in fact some were great, I don't think I've touched my Wii in a while...

 Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door!

One of the best games ever. I don't know who does the translations for those games but the dialogue is super sharp, and I think everything that's good in Paper Mario is best realized in Thousand Year Door.
