• Expansion of Best Picture nominations to 10 films does nothing to change the fact that only 3 or 4 titles have any chance of winning.  Furthermore, it serves to dilute the prestige of a best picture nomination.

• If Avatar wins best picture, I will forever boycott the Oscars.
  

I wanted to see Hurt Locker, Im currently residing in a place where it takes months for movies shown in the US to reach sometimes.
Seems like a good movie.

I hope Jeff Bridges wins for best actor, if only for the fact that I admire his acting skills. Not necessarily for the movie he's up for (I haven't seen it).

I would love to see UP win Best Picture, ut it won't Pixar movies never do. If it doesn't win Best Animated Film, I'll be shocked.  I would also like to see Food Inc. win Best Documentary, that was a very well done Doc. It changed my perspective on food and the food industry.

HMM! Who will win Best Visual Effects I wonder. I feel like there wasn't as many good movies this cycle as usual, so unfortunately Avatar will probably win everything. More money = More awards apparently. 
 
Best Actor will be pretty close, I would like to see Morgan Freeman take it though.
 
For best animated feature I would probably give it to Up, I felt like Princess and the Frog was really good, but not nearly as good as previous hand animated Disney movies. Coraline was also really good. Also what the heck is The Secret of Kells... I've never heard of that one, I'll have to give it a watch.
