Best of 2012

Here are my games of 2012, I tried to play all the great games that came out over this year but I got behind on some of the great ones, now I have time to get to the ones over this week. Like fully finish Xcom, finish Walking Dead, getting to play Journey, Mark of the ninja, Hotline Miami, Xenoblades, Last Story, Tokyo Jungle, Binary Domain and among others.

Honorable Mentions: Persona 4 Arena & Persona 4 Golden, Spec Ops: the line, Rhythm Fever Heaven, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

List items

  • I know this game is a mod of Arma 2, but I feel that this idea of surviving with your closest people that you know in a world of unknowns is exciting. This mod is going to turn into a standalone that I will be waiting for. Plus I spent more time playing this game than any other game this year.

  • Everybody knows Borderlands, this game is pretty much more of the same but with more guns, characters and things to shoot at.

  • Story finishes poorly, but you can never go wrong with a whole island to yourself to explore and mess around in.

  • Part RTS/Part Space sim, add rogue like deaths, and you got yourself a game of the fastest space adventure in the time span of 3 hours per play session.

  • This game is a better version that came out on the Wii, like they always do with the Tales of franchise is make a better version from other platforms for the PS3, which is fine by me.

  • This gave me the Dark Messiah Might and Magic and Thief vibe with the new tech from Human Evolution. I enjoy this game while playing as the no-kills and all stealth approach.

  • Another open world game, but what if your watching a Chinese action flick that you can play around in with all the movie rules that apply to that world.

  • Yup a new Tales of JRPG, I can't never get enough of. Its a continuation from the first Xillia world which is not common for the Developers to do in the Tales of franchise. Maybe its due to the success and enjoyment from the first one that people wanted more of for the characters or that it was on the PS3 first and instead of remaking it, just make a new story and slap a 2 on it.

  • I was the ones that played when the game just came out, no DLCs. If I waited like Brad did than this game would of been a better and complete experience.

  • I skipped Revelations due to the overkill on the franchise and just getting done with brotherhood at the time, but Assassins Creed 3 wanted to change the environment which I can get behind. I enjoyed the game as it is while being Connor, but the story is getting too crazy.

  • I wanted to put this game on this list cause of the gameplay that Ubisoft put together for the WiiU. I had fun playing this game and the mechanics to deal with certain parts of the game like the inventory system, scanning the environment, your inability to deal with more than 2 zombies, and of course playing on hardcore (which I am playing in) gives that tension of being more careful.
