Alex's vague comments on Friday's morning show made me wonder if it turned out to be a disaster. I mean, I doubted it would be mediocore. Either solid or garbage.

I'm glad the reaction has been so positive. And it just reminds me how ingrained South Park is in the culture. Haven't seen anyone go "what's South Park and why should I care?"

My thoughts instantly went to overinflated egos, too. But again... that's just my premature gut reaction.

I have to say that this is coloring my view of Naughty Dog, a developer that's created several of my favorite games on each Playstation (but I'm a bigger fan of Hennig, apparently). It's a premature gut reaction, of course.

In any case, she'll instantly make any studio she joins better. Wish her the best.

@mechakirby: I would assume there'd be room. IGN cites "trusted sources" so we'll see what comes out of this. I hope it's not dumb politics, but obviously something must've happened to leave in the middle of a project.

If you didn't know, she's the writer of Uncharted with a long history of writing damn good game narratives. In recent years, she's also taken on the role of game director. Seems like she was in the middle of Uncharted 4, and her leaving midway through (or "forced out") is troublesome.

At the very least, I'm sure Crystal Dynamics would love to have her back. Amy's a hell of a talent. And since every time Nosgoth gets mentioned, people mention "man, Legacy of Kain was awesome," maybe the time seems right?

I've come to realize that I need to come into Mastodon albums with no preconceived expectations. I usually end up being disappointed because it's not like this or that, and over time the albums really grow on me.

The Hunter wasn't amazing but a fun listen. I saw them live and they played the whole thing note for note... which was honestly kind of boring. At least I walked past Brent smoking a cigarette outside their tour bus.

Hey, so Crack the Skye was really good. But if it's an album full of Crystal Skulls and Blood and Thunders, I'd take it.

You must, you just need to. I prefer the music to the normal castle more, but inverted has some cool stuff and really fun bosses.
