Once you're on the character select screen, people CAN NOT join in through matchmaking. The rejoin after you've left a match is so you can redeem yourself of being a TOTAL ASSHOLE, because this game doesn't even have bots when that shit happens. That's how it went in the beta, at least.
Almost as maddening as the fact that nobody playing the game knows to warp back to your base to heal in Incursion...
Don't worry, Blaziken didn't "get a human inside him," he just "Mega-Evolved" thanks to the power of a magical bracelet and a corresponding magical mineral. It's fine.
@finaldasa: If a product is being considered for worldwide release during production, maybe consider what will and won't fly in those regions as you're creating.
Of course a critic can voice what is and isn't creepy / awkward, I was referring to the people in charge of the decisions in localization and bringing this over for purchase in the west.
If this skinship mechanic was cut, because people working on localization or business people found it awkward for this region, and it was cut for that reason, that's a shame.
Not a fan of people that are not involved in creation of a thing deciding and excising / modifying what is "awkward" for a region. I understand that the motivation in localization is to make it fit in more within a region's culture, but trying to make it "better" than the original thing ain't cool with me. If it is too "awkward" to release in a region, maybe don't release it.
