Click here for the videos since for some reason, I can't embed them. I probably know why though.
Good gracious, I actually kept my word for once and that is that I have both of the videos up even if it took a long time to upload them for yours truly. Basically what they cover is what i got for Christmas and what I have been playing recently so if you are into that type of thing, go ahead and watch.
Also, I plan to do some sort of top ten video on a certain subject in due time so if you have any suggestions on what you would like me to do, let me know. Anything from top ten movies to games to tv shows etc. I am outta here and off to finish the intense awesomeness that is Dead Space.
I will have two vblogs up tomorrow if everything goes according to plan. Well I have already done them (one is from today, the other from last week). Stay tuned!
First of all, I would like to wish you all a very happy 2009 and if its as good as 2008 was in gaming, then it will be something special indeed. The first three months see big releases especially from Capcom with the likes of Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5. Hopefully they are great games and I am sure they will be.
Remember at the start of 2008 over at the other site, I compiled a few gaming resolutions and one of them was to complete 40 games by the end of the year. Since it is officially 2009 and 2008 has come and gone, I should go through those resolutions I came up with and see if I actually did any of them. The resolutions were:
1. Complete Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed & COD 4 by the end of the month 2. Complete Final Fantasy IV, VI & VIII by the end of the summer. 3. Beat Hard Career in Guitar Hero III (One is still blocking my path). 4. Complete Half-Life 2 and its episodes. 5. Complete Banjo-Tooie. 6. Complete at least 40 games by the end of the year.
So did I complete any of them? The answer is no due to the fact that there were so many great games out in 2008 that it was hard to do some of them with the stellar list that came out. I maybe could have done some over the summer but of course, other games got in the way and thus they were left in the dust. The first resolution I did 2 thirds of (I just couldn't be bothered finishing Assassin's Creed since that game is boring as hell once the free running novelty wears off). The second resolution I played a bit of FF IV (the DS version) and got a good bit into FF VI before I screwed up something in it and can't be bothered fixing it (it was picking the wrong characters and not being able to change them unless you travel all the way back to a certain location). I tried to beat One but I just couldn't get past the same part due to the fact that I can't double-strum well. Played about a total of 2 hours or so of Half-Life 2 so it was a waste of a resolution. Never touched Banjo-Tooie but completed the first one again on XBLA and got 200 points in the process. And what about the last one? Well, the following is the list of games I completed in 2008 even though some of them I have already completed before so they can be excluded if you wish from your point of view. Here they are:
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Mass Effect
Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction
Rocket Knight Adventures (Again)
Army of Two
Lost Odyssey
Ouendan 2
Elite Beat Agents
Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Super Smash Bros Brawl (SSE Mode)
Arrow Flash
God of War: Chains of Olympus
GTA IV
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Dark Sector
Triggerheart Excelica
Megaman 8
Conker's Bad Fur Day (Again)
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Nights: Journey of Dreams
No More Heroes
Braid
Haze
Contra XBLA (Twice but its damn short anyway)
Cars Mater-National
Castle Crashers
Lost: Via Domus
Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Dynasty Warriors Gundam (Official Mode + Original Mode with 1 character)
Dragonball Z Burst Limit (Z Chronicles)
Too Human
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Gears of War 2
Banjo-Kazooie XBLA
Gunstar Heroes (Again)
Saints Row 2
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
As you can see I completed 37 games this year, which was close but if you exclude the ones I already have completed before, its more like 33. Some of the games are short anyway while a few are RPGs thus I am a little happy on that. I plan to beat more than I did in 2008 this year since I was close to getting to the 40 mark but failed. I would like to see from you guys what games you completed in 2008 and see how each list differs from one another.
I ain't going to bother doing gaming resolutions for this year since I didn't complete any last year but who knows, I might change my mind in due time. BTW, if you are wondering why I haven't been doing my Best of Awards, its because I can't be bothered doing them to tell you the truth since the last one was a disaster with the syncing issues and it goes too long whether I want it to or not. If anyone would like to know my GOTY, PM me if you wish but I will continue with the awards but in text format so everyone can read it and thus don't have to waste 20 mins watching yours truly bore the hell out of you guys. :P
Anyway, once again have a great new year and keep on gaming.
I didn't play a whole lot of terrible games but the worst was Haze, since it was just a bland first-person shooter that could have been somewhat promising but fell flat on its face with braindead AI on both sides.
Sorry for not updating on the situation with my awards but I haven't been in the mood to do so because let's face it, I have been neglecting blogging and that for the past half-year really. Anyway, I decided to start things off today and thus finished the first part of several of my 2008 awards. This video is pretty long but I assure you the rest of them will be shorter than this one by about 10 mins or more hopefully since I don't want another 2+ hour extravaganza like last time. This part covers the awards for Best Cover Art, Best Use of Achievements and Most Surprisingly Good Game. The next part will probably be up tomorrrow and the next one won't be until Monday since I won't be free until then (night shift work).
Enjoy and Toodles.
Note: The video might not be up yet when you come around to this. It was completed at 11pm GMT so give it another 30 mins or so and come back. 4 Comments
First of all, I apologise for the lack of updates that I have done since I have been pretty tired when I feel like doing one and work has been busy thus the reason why for my lack of blogs. I will do a video blog this week just going through the past few weeks of my life and what games I've played.
But enough about that, since it is coming towards the end of the year and other people are doing the same thing, I have prepared the nominations for my Best of 2008 Awards, which consists of 22 different categories. There have been a few exclusions this time around from the previous one due to the fact that I played a lack of the ones that are gone. This time round, I won't be uploading them all in one go and have it run on for 2+ hours. Instead, I will have a video up each day starting on a yet undecided date that will feature the winners of a few categories. It will follow the same style I did in my Best of 2007 awards except less rambling hopefully.
So without further ado, here are the nominations for my Best of 2008 awards.
Note: I might change my mind in terms of changing nominations or adding awards so for the time being this is a draft list but will notify you guys when it is finalised.

Another blog from myself and its the one I promised last time where I talk about my impressions of Fable II and Dead Space. And also a stupid gripe I have concerning LBP. Enjoy.
Another blog already! Good grief. Just decided to do one, which is shorter than my usual ones and that could be considered a shock. I talk about a few things like the LBP delay, GTA IV and why I was disappointed and more. Expect another video blog Monday week.
Sorry for the lack of updates or blogs but you know me. I have been busy with work now and kind of want to relax and play games and stuff on my days off but once I get used to my work, which should be very soon, I will have blogs on a more regular basis hopefully. Anyway, I talk about said job in the blog and what my recent purchases are and my upcoming ones also. Also, a few other things are in there as well.
Toodles.
Note: Blog might not be up yet for some reason even though it has been uploaded for a while.

Hey guys, this is another video blog from myself. I talk about my new job, the games I have been playing including The Force Unleashed and also some of the games I am looking forward to playing in the upcoming months.
Also, not sure if this favour can be done or not but if any of you have a spare beta key for LBP, any chance I can have one? I would love to try it out as soon as possible but if not, I am willing to wait until the full release since it will be a cool game nonetheless.
