Sees Hyper Light Drifter & Salt & Sanctuary on the list, list is instantly validated. I was looking forward to the former ever since I first saw the video of it a few years back and it did not disappoint. Just loved the whole aesthetic to that game and while it was pretty challenging at times, I persevered and it was worth it.

Salt & Sanctuary I feel is one of those games people have forgotten about this year, which is a shame since it a great game even if it pretty much a 2D Dark Souls but a well made one at that. Both of these games are in my top 10.

And Overwatch at No 1 makes this the best list thus far since it is also my personal game of the year.

Isn't the winner of the PLEASE STOP category pretty similar to shipping broke-ass games that won in 2014 and was runner-up in 2015 or is it just me?

Even I'll admit that the prompt action for that little box was OVERLY fussy. Then again MOST people had looked around the house first when the game starts. Its possible to find the key very early and at that point you cannot take it. Also, that letter on the father's desk only works in the early game. There are a lot of object props in the house that only work early on for story bits.

Actually you can since I started playing it again recently and I got the key and unlocked the sword chest and put it in the slot before even heading out to Yamanose and those places for the first time.

@shtinky: I only realised that it was him during this podcast because I listened to the Best of Hotspot 2006 a few times and remember his call but once I heard his voice on here, I put 2 and 2 together. I know he has been on here (via voice) with Brad on the DOTA 2 videos but don't care for DOTA.

@dovah: It is X for the notebook, not Y. If you got from me, I was in the wrong since I am playing through it again.

Next part is going to be interesting since they will have to wait until 7pm for the Heartbeats bar to open. Don't blame them for not finding it since it is not out in the open like most places are (a narrow pathway beside the slot house)

Didn't start with Tom as promised so some people are going to be PISSED!! :p

EDIT: Wonder if Vinny finds out you only need to press Y to look at the notebook. Also, waiting around for places to open/events to occur at certain times in the early game is the worst part of Shenmue for me but it goes away for the most part later in the game.

Being a big Shenmue fan, watching this is both entertaining and frustrating. I learned where places were at quickly enough when I first played this and didn't get Suzume confused with Sakuragaoka as far as I can recall. I just hope they get used to where places are at eventually, which I'm sure they will.

EDIT: Oh man, sucks what happened at the end. No wonder this episode was short.
