What the fuck?  The point of playing a medic in any game is that you're making it you job to heal people in between killing people.  You're not making any sense whatsoever.

Also, saying that teamwork is a button press shows just how completely uneducated you are about the game.  There's a huge dynamic to how all the different classes play off each other and how you use them in the map.  Please don't say any more smack talk about the game until you learn how to play it.
"
lol woah there I never meant to upset anyone with this thread.  I'm just saying I plain don't like the idea of a healer class in any game, because it's not as much fun being stuck on healer duty in my opinion.  That's why it bothers me that in this game a healer is so necessary.  I'm trying to enjoy it, but it's just not clicking with me.  Then my brother joins me as a medic, and I start killing like crazy, but it feels cheap, like we aren't winning because we're both good players, we're winning beun and all that, I like it, but I'm not used to a game forcing teamwork so much, it's not subtle at all.  I will keep playing it though!  Like I said I'm trying to like it. "
Medic takes, a lot of skill to play properly, not so much in pubs, but in an actual competitive game, a medic can easily make or break team. I'd consider it the second hardest, maybe even the hardest class in the game to play well.

you don't need a glove, that guy's just a pussy. I've pulled that move off multiple times in a row, using the exact same technique without using a glove/hurting my hands at all,

It's hard when you start off, especially when you're picking up you're first language. I must've tried 4 or 5 languages when i was younger (10-15) before I actually hunkered down and stuck with C#.

Although my knowledge on the subject is rather limited, I think I could list off a few very simple differences.

Java
Java and serious game programming do not mix well. It's great for small, browser based games, due to it's portability, it isn't very logical to create large, hardware intensive games using it. This is because it run sthe JVM, and while the performance gap is decreasing between it and lower level languages, it hasn't gotten to the point where it is a feasible choice.

Assembly
Fastest of all mentioned languages, because there is no need for any interpretation. However, it still has several glaring flaws, mainly the fact that it has little to no portability. It cannot transfer over from one architecture to the next, meaning you'd have to recreate the program for each seperate type. It can also be a pain to work with, the syntax is pretty hard to understand, and it is easy to make, and hard to fix bugs in the code.

C
Fast, and powerful, used lots in application development. Games are still programmed using C, but most have moved on to C++ for it's cleaner code.

C++
The most widely used for commercial game development. It has a great balance between power, and easily manageable code and because of this, is ideal for large-scale projects(i.e video games).

Don't really know anything about DarkBasic, so I can't help you there.
