I was secretly hoping Axiom Verge would be on the list. Super surprised and delighted to see it at #3! The game deserves as much attention as it can get because the Shadow Complex HD re-release isn't going to help make Metroidvanias come back as much as they need to.
Why does the pitch increase at 45 seconds in? Such a weird oversight for a game about music where any kind of note change will bother the fuck out of me but apparently nobody else.
Can someone here... anyone here... please agree with me that certain notes in the remake are completely off and different from what the original game's soundtrack and sound effects had? As in, Dreamcast original?
The preview at the PSX keynote even had similar things wrong with it, telling me that this new version is just a modded port of the 360 version instead of an actual remake of the original. Either that or their source material somehow changed since the original release. :(
If the editing means cutting out dead air, by all means, continue editing. I trust Vinny's editing experience, it always made for the best Bombcasts after all.
That said, it's so incredibly easy to just lose Kerbals out in space, I don't think they'll be able to keep to their own rule of having to retrieve Kerbals.
Is anyone else here an indie dev with a few dozen design documents laying around that they pluck from to make new games from? Has said indie dev also ever seen another game come along that matches very closely to one of your original ideas before you were able to develop it? Like, to the point where you can't wait to buy that game and play it because you thought you were going to have to be the one to make it for it to exist? That's me and this game right now.
That kind of unexpected, limited-time content goes a long way toward keeping the player base excited and playing the game...
Limited-time content also goes a long way towards making a person like me - who spent $60 on the original game in the hopes that Bungie would slowly add new free content to the game (Ala Diablo 3 patches) on top of the DLCs/expansions - not want to spend another red cent to play a game that is in the state it should have been in when I originally spent that $60.
