Wy are there LEDs all over the outside of that thing? I'm as interested in trying VR as the next guy, but wearing that discoball would be embarrassing.
This game was way cheaper than what I was prepared to pay. So I felt bad about it, and I bought it twice. ...but now I have two of this game and feel like I underpaid for both. IT IS A VICIOUS CYCLE!
No longer interested. I liked JRPGs because of the turnbased combat, and I continue to grow increasingly apathetic to Kingdom Heartslikes. Running around, controlling one guy in active combat does not scratch the right itch.
Thinking about it, I think this is largely the fault of that Final Fantasy where you had to program the fucking AI for the rest of your team by telling them when to use health potions and spells etc. I remember being infuriated when that feature was introduced in what was shaping up to be a perfectly acceptable game. Up until that point, I'd been willing to give Square the benefit of doubt in regards to their constant revamps of their combat systems. After that, gah, I still get mad thinking about it.
The audacity to make your whole party fully automated and then expect you to fucking program them yourself instead of having that stuff defined by their personalities or at least offered to you as optimized presets... You talk about a breach of trust. That was the greatest one to me. They took away the most fun part about JRPGs and replaced it with baby's first IF LOOP programming lessons. Then they continued making Final Fantasies with less and less combat turnbased combat. What a dreadful, awful company they have become.
