Money in da bank

The past couple of weeks have not been in my favor but I do the best I can to stay happy. My personal distractions are the true sources to keeping me afloat. Baldan, weather, and videogames are examples of that equation. Tokyo Game Show started Thursday and Microsoft for the first time left a large foot print with Sony. PS3 continues to prove to me how much I don’t need cable television (seeing how I can stream my Netflix queue to it) and I want to eat some fruit salads and skittles right now. Speaking of fruit I want to go apple picking this weekend so that I can say I did something fun and not feel bad about it. Dead Space, BioShock and LittleBIGPlanet are hitting brick and mortar within two weeks and it’s another prime example of how the fourth quarter of every year bleeds triple A quality games… and my wallet, not to mention all the BD movies arriving. Well today is payday and it only makes me wonder how poor I will be after I pay T-mobile & Liberty Mutual. I will also think of new ways to make Baldan Über happy. --- well its not sunday as i am posting this.. and yes im pretty fuckin logw on cash now, not sure how ill survive gas heh.

Every year I shoot for the best titles. Another sloppy bloggy

This October (tomorrow) is going to be a very very expensive month, it makes me cry and then my insides begin to hurt and my wallet burns. NARUTO: ULTIMATE NINJA STORM & DEAD SPACE comes out on the 15, ROCKBAND 2 on the 20, BIOCHOCK, LITTLEBIGPLANET & FARCRY 2 on the 21, GUITAR HERO 4: WORLD TOUR on the 27, MOTORSTORM: PACIFIC RIFT on the 28 then SINGSTAR: VOLUMN 2 on the 28th and RESISTENCE 2 for November 4. All I need for my birthday is GameStop gift cards. Between rent, T-Mobile, car insurance, internet, PSN, gym, and stuff its hard as fuck to buy the best videogames for the fourthquarter of every yearlol in the end i wlaweyas pull through L.  Plus the economy and stock market are dying apparently. Those games are my most wanted games and I will purchase LittleBIGPlanet next paycheck and it might be the only game I will buy with my cash because I need to save, I also might ignore Dead Space until my birthday or the payday after that depends on the gift card status; then again I have a buttload of Blu-Ray movies I must own or else I will die. Keep in mind every blog I post means I am at work and bored as hell, Id be surprised if I found myself doing little blogs like this at home when there are Blu-Rays to lick. I’m out. Baldan if you’re reading this… I love you… straight from my heart, and yes I might maybe perhaps do those “corny” emails again to you. <3

Stuff I did someplace, somewhere

The HOME beta is simply awesome, a social networking hub where users can meet up, share, and explore a connected world, the tools given to us provides everyone a new way to communicate and jump into games seamlessly. The past week has been interesting; I now have Wipeout HD and the level. I was under some status ailments for most of the week following HOME so I had my fair share of hours spent doing half of what people do in Animal Crossing within it. My girl drives now, she just needs a car and I will somehow help her achieve her goal for one. This weekend was pretty epic, Friday I mostly chilled at my place with Baldy, she was even able to sleep over; very fun. Saturday Baldan and I traveld to the city to see Ratatat in Brooklyn with Nicole and her boy, it was HOT, prior to Ratatat coming on stage there was this DJ mixer guy whom towards the end of his performance he whopped out a wiimote and a nunchuck and began using them as a synthesizer… epic. I have been trying to get into the LittleBiGplanet Beta but everytime a site decides to giveaway a multitude of beta keys there servers crash and burn under the heat of screaming children and grown men; today I am trying and it looks like Media Molecules official news site is my best bet to score a beta key. I don’t know what else to type. I’m out

Post from last friday

About ten minutes ago I got the HOME beta invite via E-mail, I’m at work and I have about 15 minutes till I go home (no pun intended). I’m pretty sure you know how fucking excited I am, plus its Friday, this is the best Playstation quarter of the year; of the year. Ill post impressions on my next post as well as the stuff I did throughout today and perhaps tomorrow.

Such a frickin boring week, except for PS3

Well its boring old Wednesday today, the highlight of last week was the party of epic proportions at my new place Saturday, almost everyone was there. combining Seans DJ setup with lots of lights and my PS3, HDTV, strobe light, backlight, fog machine combo alongside with hot people and booze it was a perfect lil house party, but its not full complete without the cops, which we got later on in the AM. Sunday was the day for cleaning and checking out Laurens new place in , she will be moving there in the beginning of October with her husband. Last couple of days I have been just chillin at Dunkin Donuts with my girl and stealing Wi-Fi, still waiting for Optonline to arrive (which is today). Baldan was over yesterday and I showed her Ninja Gaiden Sigma because she completed the DS version, after that I slain the second walking mountain in Shadow of the Colossus and last we watched some episodes of Trinity Blood mixed in with some hot steamy action. I of course cannot forget how I beat Portal for the fourth time within two and a half hours two days ago with Sean, destroying GlaDOS and escaping Aperture Science NEVER gets old. I also found out that Eye of Judgment Set 3 second expansion comes out this October, I plan on buying a whole booster box and most of the theme decks just like I did with Set 2, plus it will have trophies! Life with Playstation, SOCOM beta, Store updates, PAIN trophies, Rock Band update, and the useless firmware update are all features I have been unable to get due to lack of internet and it shows how much the Playstation can evolve in a short time period when connected to the network. Novastrike has gotten trophies; I might fly that flag and download it sometime. For the past month or so for everyday my job has been offering me undertime due to lack of customer coming into the queue, its difficult to avoid taking it, but for the past week and a half I have been resilient and just been staying, no matter how boring and gay things get around here. This post stinks... I’m out.

A segment of my life and another attempt at blogging.

22 years in River Edge and Oradell, and on June 2 I was finally able to move out to my first apartment. A sense of excitement, freedom and responsibility was driving me to stay on my toes. Applying my own customizable content to my living space to match my hardcore needs allowed me to stay cool. More pros then cons it was a great experience, there were multiple noise complaints and financial problems from time to time but the grandeur was the chicks, the gaming, the blazing, the boozing and partying that overshadowed those inconsistencies. Being only two blocks from me I couldn’t even escape the devils lair of Cool Beans thus drawing all the underlings from it to me. Well its three months later and here I am today on my third day living at my second home, this time its an actual house located in Waldwick rooming myself(Science), best pal Sean(Xan) and (temporarily) Lauren(Juice). Yes I’m going to go fucking buckwild with gaming and parties, you frickin think I will be doing anything less? Paying five hundred plus utilities is a whole buttload better then the eight fifteen at the apartment, this will also give me breathing room for these fucking bills. Baldan is extra ordinary, very pristine and beautiful except for the smoking, she needs to stop or else she will encounter unforeseen consequences. Her DS has the R4DS equiped with 43 full games on it and hundreds of NES roms, she is currently playing Pokemon Pearl, The World Ends with You and Hamsterz. I have been playing a lot of games and sometimes I feel guilty about it, I really should get back into reading but considering the fast-paced world in which we live and the entertainment medium that I choose to follow, it’s probably no surprise that I’m not much of a reader. Actually, I’m not much of a viewer anymore, either. My television viewing has gone down to maybe one or two shows that I follow religiously, and one of those is Heroes and… yeah. I do still have interest in reading; I’m just not so proactive in going about with doing so. Starcraft novels is the only franchise I have interest in reading about and all of them are on my Amazon shopping list. Prior to moving I had my 30mbps internets disabled due to past payments so there has been zero internets access for the past couple of days which is not as bad as I thought it would be despite how limiting it makes myself and my roomies feel. By the time this whole gay diary is posted ill prolly be at Cool Beans or someplace trying to sniff out some innernetz weefee for the upload. First house party is this Saturday and if you nonexsistent readers are lucky I might post some hot steamy saucy party pics with some game related materials in the mix, after all this is a videogame blog site (I sure proved that with this post :/ ). Im out~~ Holla.

The Whole Blogging Thing

My first true attempt at a blog started at GameSpot, as emo and lame as the posts might have been, I was still able to retain the facts of my personal events that happened from time to time. I’m going to continue that trend with topics on my women, parties, and how I’m putting up with life but with a whole lot more emphasize on gaming. My first GiantBomb post will be cheap and easy one for it will mostly be taken up by a Wikipedia article outlining the history and development of this kick ass game site. Hopefully my future posts will actually be interesting. :)

Wikipedia: Jeff Gerstmann was dismissed from his position as Editorial Director at GameSpot on November 28, 2007.Immediately after his termination, rumors circulated around the Internet proclaiming that his dismissal was a result of external pressure from Eidos Interactive, the studio behind the video game Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, which Gerstmann had given a Fair, or undesirable, rating along with critique. Both GameSpot and parent company CNET Networks stated that his dismissal was unrelated to the review. Ryan Davis announced his departure from GameSpot in February 2008, listing one of his reasons for leaving as Gerstmann's firing.

On February 21, 2008 it was reported that Gerstmann and GameSpot founder, Vince Broady, were working on a new video game website that would "take on GameSpot". Before Davis left GameSpot, Gerstmann had been working on the concept with several engineers who he had worked with before. In the process of coming up with the name for the website, over 70 domain names were registered. Gerstmann wanted the website name to be catchy and original, stating that there were too many video game websites with the word "Game" in it.

During their weekly podcast, Giant Bombcast, Gerstmann and Davis announced on June 3, 2008 that fellow former GameSpot editors Brad Shoemaker and Vinny Caravella have joined the editorial staff of Giant Bomb.

On July 20, 2008 the Giant Bomb Blog closed, replaced by a picture and a message teasing that the site will be "landing shortly". The full site launched shortly after midnight on the following Monday, July 21, 2008.
