am i the only PS3 owner who isn't expecting or requiring anything from Sony for the outage? i never had any paid services from them, the outage was shitty, but they got hacked and it fucked shit up for sure, but i don't feel Sony owes me anything for it other fixing the issue and doing everything possible it doesn't happen again.

Now if you had paid services, as long as Sony extends your subscription for the correct time at no cost i think that should be good enough, its not like all of our PS3's were dead you could still play games just not online. So i think everyone should  be thankful PSN is back up and working and stop worrying about what we should get for free.

Any who believes Sony knowing left their network open to this is kind of attack is just dumb, and whether this article is true or fake is meaningless because nothing they say now can be trusted, they will make their cause look good and Sony look bad by stating Sony's network security was poor. Now i know nothing about hacking or computer programing but from what i understand if someone is truly good at hacking then they have the talent to get into highly secure networks, so we have no idea how good or bad Sony's security is/was, if this person was determined to get into Sony's network it was just a matter of time until they did.  And what if this whole thing was caused by people running the hacked firmware for their PS3's maybe dick head or someone else was able to use to it to tunnel through Sony's security unlikely maybe, probable defiantly. I know a lot of people are being affected by this (myself included) and it sucks hard knowing that someone got to our data and has caused us to not have access to services we may or may not be paying for, but railing and condemning Sony that its all their fault is unfair, the people who went after Sony and broke the law are at fault.

And fyi i spend 99% of gaming time on my 360 so i am no fanboy protecting Sony.

I don't know, i think it wouldnt be any different than it is right now with all the  gratuitous violence. "
i think all the violence in the game would have been over looked because all anyone would be talking about is the nudity, from hardcore game journalist to mainstream media, even it was the greatest fighting game ever made it wouldn't matter.

if i am not mistaken didn't XBL go down for a month once? So its not like this shit doesn't happen, and oh wait wasn't GB down for 3 days because unforeseen circumstances. i understand having PSN down this weekend of all weekends sucks, but it sounds like from what Sony has said it was a measure to protect their customers not hurt them, so why get so bent out of shape about it? i will never understand the anger of the internet.

Well GB once again you have shown great restraint in expanding your staff and content and have made the perfect decision with hiring Patrick, now that you all are ready to bring new content to the site. Patrick has always seem to me to have that old timey news attitude, so the things i would like to see for GB news, is standard text news but with real industry reporting in text, video, audio format. And i think he would be a great addition to the bombcast. i think keeping Patrick behind a text format would be limiting to his talents as i have observed over the years.

So welcome aboard Patrick i can't wait to see you make your mark here at BiantBomb.
