Nintendo 64 games I owned

A list of the Nintendo 64 games I owned and grew up with.
The Nintendo 64 remains to be my favourite console to this day! The reason for this is part nostalgic (I'll give you that), but for the most part because of the genuine amazing quality games it had.

Age: 8 - 12

List items

  • The first 3D game I ever played. Mind = blown.

An amazing game, and the exploring of the open world was amazing.

The awesome atmosphere and music really made it memorable.

  • This, my friends, is my favourite game of all time (yes I know, I'm very unoriginal). Probably the most epic experience I ever had playing a game. The characters, story, and adventure completely absorbed me.

Got it when I was 8/9 and I completed it all by myself without guides or walk through (long before I ever came in touch with the Internet). It took months of constant playing and being part of the game world. At that time that was a great achievement to me :P

Even after defeating Ganondorf I continued to come back to Hyrule until I got all heart pieces and skulltulas (pretty much 100%ed the game).

Still love to revisit N64 Hyrule to this day :)

  • Completely oblivious of what kind of game this really was if it had Link I had to have it :P

Turned out to be some of the most multi-player fun I ever had with friends. It was amazing getting Jigglypuff, Luigi, Captain Falcon, and (especially) Nes :)

  • The sequel to Ocarina of Time, and just as amazing as it's predecessor. Another magical experience of my childhood :P

Getting Fierce Deity mask was freaking amazing :P

  • Being the Donkey Kong Country fanboy that I was/am, I craved for this game. The single-player was fantastic, and the multi-player was fun too. Loved exploring Kong Island and collecting all the stuff. I never managed to finish this game though (got stuck at the infamous arcade machine).

  • Never owned the first one myself. I borrowed it from a friend, had a blast, and thus I needed Tooie. Another amazing open world 3D platformer for the Nintendo 64. The characters are amazing, the levels awesome, and the humour epic!

  • I found this game super hard when I was a kid, never completed it. Nonetheless I loved it. I especially loved playing it multi-player with friends :)

  • Had no idea what to expect, but it ended up being amazing! I guess this was one of my first turn based RPGs on a console.

  • I got this game because a friend had it and it looked like a load of fun. It was fun (definitely not up to the previously mentioned platformers), but I couldn't save because I never owned a Nintendo 64 memory card... I never played it much.

  • As any other kid of my age I was completely corrupted by the Pokémon hype of the late 90s. Naturally I had to get Pokémon Stadium to complement my Pokémon Yellow addiction. Complemented with a Gameboy Pokémon this one was great :)

The minigames were pretty amazing too.
