" This is probably one of the few instances that I wish there was matchmaking on a PC game. Argh, I hope they figure out a way soon or just plainly say that it's not going to happen. "
There is. See: L4D2E1M0 DICE is terrible at this peer networking outside of games stuff though. Which is commendable, I don't want another special secrit clab that I have to join - but the in-game friends stuff is actually fully capable of supporting onslaught-like matchmade games as soon as they add a separate big-ass button for it.
I'm interested in how they'll alert you to enemies around the corners now. X-ray very much simplified the game when it came to that aspect, and limiting it very much might give the sequel's enemies a monster closet feel. Can you imagine doing an isolation-and-haunt section without x-ray mission? memorization wasn't necessary in BMAA. Well, I think BMAA was good enough that I can give these guys the benefit of the doubt. Probably yelling enemies or something along the line.
Press 'yes' and you will immediately continue playing."
So what, they're just charging you 10$ for the disk it self, then keep charging you for things that are already on the disk? I bet all this is just to cut steam out of it. Ah well, knowing microsoft, the "yes" button will have a 25-letter-key option, which will be OH EXPLOITABLE (given that they don't take the eubesoft model).
